And the word of the day is: MULTIFARIOUS!Casey would waltz
...and all we did with costumes was make sure that each costume piece had our name on it. That was it for the costumes. :-\ ...What is this, a show or preparations for summer camp?
I think Multifarious was that motion picture theatre stereo venture that had individual headphones at every seat. It was working okay until the soundtracks to The Nun's Story and The Tingler got crossed in the mixer. The sound system was renamed Multiferrous when it was used for the film The Iron Giant.

My chronic depression decided to make a comeback. Nothing spectacular, very low-level, but the pits all the same.*HUGS* I have clinical depression as well. And no insurance, thus no doc/meds. I've been relying on an OTC cocktail & it's efficacy is so-so.

Re: Jay Recordings
Here are some of the uncomplete/sitting on the releases of the 2CD complete recordings:
Doll's Life*
...now that I've seen the Mary Poppins sets do their thing, the sets at Radio City no longer fill me with awe as they have in earlier years.
Back from the jog - must do some shipping and some errands now, after which I shall return. Jogging has been REALLY hard for the last week, not sure why.Oh...
BONES had a very entertaining episode tonight as Booth and Brennan investigate two bodies found outside Las Vegas.
Last night MattH remarked:I'm surprised that he didn't comment on the spectacular opening HDTV shot that started with a city-scape of Las Vegas and then swooped up and away and then back down to the scene in the desert - shades of CSI!

bk, DRs Elmore, FJL, and others who know about music and singing:
There is a guy over at the Home Theater Forum in the FLOWER DRUM SONG thread who keeps saying over and over that Jack Soo's singing voice is way off pitch through all of his singing, and that it's so bad he ruins the movie for him.
I have been watching FLOWER DRUM SONG for years and years, had the soundtrack album on LP and (recently) CD, and Jack Soo's singing has never remotely sounded flat to me. Oh, occasionally, he might talk a note or two instead of singing them, but I just don't hear off pitch singing with him.
Is my inner tuning fork off or is this guy off base? He's been so insistent about it that I just haven't argued with him other than to say it sounds fine to me, but he remains firm on saying Soo can't sing AT ALL!
Glory be! My DVDs arrived today, so, of course, FLOWER DRUM SONG was the first thing in the player.
What a joy to see this excellent film looking and (especially) sounding so good. That Dolby Digital 5.1 surround on the "Love Look Away" ballet had me swooning.
And for picture quality, the scene in the garden where "You Are Beautiful" is sung was stunning in sharpness, color, and detail. It looked unbelievably lush.
Why no love for Niki on the board? I for one love Niki. Both of her.
Last night FJL noted:But you also saw the Marry Poppins sets NOT do their thing.

DR Rodzinski, I'm not exactly sure why nobody here likes niki (HEROES). I think maybe it's because of the first couple of episodes where she drove to dump the body.
It just wasn't interesting. Especially compared to the other stories.
I love her son micah though.
POTENTIAL GROSS-OUT QUIRKY HABIT AHEAD
Actually, is picking scabs a quirky habit? Both in conversation and literally. :)
When I mention that I tend to do this, people tell me they do it, too, or have friends who do it becuase they think it helps the healing process for a scab. So if so many people do it, while it may be gross, is it quirky?
My quirky habit is if I eat at a place that has paper napkins, I have to take an extra one with me when I leave the restaurant. I just noticed this about me in the last couple years.
Edisaurus-
Very interesting your post regarding LeFont etc. And Daughters of the Dust! I was shown that movie in an undergrad class at the U of Georgia. I think I had to write a paper on it.
I still take napkins and stash them in my glove compartment...you never know when you might need a napkin. ;)
My bad habit---when I'm having a stressful edit, I run my fingers through my hair and pull on it---sort of a scalp massage (I don't really pull my hair out over this stuff) or a way to get blood flowing to my brain.
When producers who know me well walk into the edit room and see my hair almost standing on end like Buckwheat, they address me in a calm, subdued tone of voice.
Hi, Ben (a FOLLIES reference)!
I have only disgusting habits.
You looking for an argument, here 8)

rather than watching special features (probably saving them for the weekend), I put in THE KING AND I since we had been talking about it earlier in the week.

Poor Jack Soo. The guys on BARNEY MILLER never liked his coffee either.I'm told I used to dance to the Barney Miller theme whenever the show came on. :-[

And I haven't a clue what I'll have for din-din!
Dim-Sum for Din-Din would be Yum-Yum.

Your French spelling is fine; you Italian, however......
Okay...who gets tomorrow off as a holiday?
I do! I do! I do!

Was the "Kill the Beast, Kill the Beast" scene from B&B inspired by an over zealous editor?

Congrats on 5500 DR CILLA LIZ!!
Why thank you kind sir, I just happened to notice it when I was 3 away.
Haven't seen Alton Brown's Thanksgiving show yet
I have a favor:
For anyone who bought the new King and I, can you go to 110:11 into the film (Shall We Dance) have the "Singalong Subtitles" on and tell me if your DVD jumps around. It seems to only happen when the "Singalong Subtitles" are visible. No other subtitles and it doesn't matter what audio track you are listening to.
That’s tough, however, not affording medication might be a good thing. While some people have been saved by it I know others whose symptoms became dangerously aggravated, resulting in more medication.
I hope you are getting plenty of exercise, sleep & take advantage of friends & family when you need them.
My sister did not have insurance and Merck provided her depression medicine free through some program. I can find out the details if anyone is interested. Just took a fax from her physician confirming the necessity of said medicine.Oh yeah, Pfizer (makes Zoloft-what I took) does the same. The problem w/ those programs is you have to have a prescription & the doc who did that for me was at my old college.
....where else can you hear..."I'm just going to tie up their little legs..."
I thought of one of my habits, I click my pen...it drives people crazy, but I don't even realize I'm doing it
As I went to the DVR menu to retrieve CSI: NY, I noticed that I had forgotten to set the DVR to record CSI tonight.
UGLY BETTY had a marvelous episode tonight filled with laughter and family and sexy goings-on. Even Justin had a great line late in the show.
And here it is 5500
