I pulled out a tape of a local production of A DAY IN HOLLYWOOD/A NIGHT IN THE UKRANE tonight and watched it. I auditioned for this show and didn't get it, but the fellow who got Chico thoughtfully gave me a copy of the show (one of my favorite shows) because at the time, I was so upset and disappointed that I couldn't see the show. I finally put the tape in tonight and watched it.

I had recorded the sixth episode of THE CLOSER this afternoon and watched it right before the season finale came on. Excellent episode (the one about the porno star with HIV).

As for the season finale, I was able to spot the murderer very early on, but the episode still proved intriguing with Brenda's endearing search and worry for Kitty and the entertaining one upmanship between the LAPD and the FBI.

Did anyone see the special Saturday evening on CBS called "DAy in the Life of Television"? IT was rather interesting.

The MEDIUM rerun was the one that featured Kelsey Grammer as the Angel of Death. Up until the last five minutes, it was a fascinating episode. I still think the ending was far too pat for my taste.

I didn't have a great night of sleep last night, so I'm heading down now in the hopes of a better one tonight.

Good night!

The reason I did not eat dessert at the partay (and there were plenty) is that there were so many flies in the house where the desserts were that I described the apple pie as Pie a la Fly.

Maybe it was supposed to be Shoo-Fly Pie!

Hi there, MusicGuy! Did you get my telephone message????

Hi DR Laura.....yes, I got the message.  I'll be doing a few bank things and catch-up errands tomorrow, but call me on my cell phone and tell me about the instrument that is possible.  I'll try to offer an intelligent opinion. :)

Dear Esteemed and partayed-out BK and H/Ks --

DP Kerry and I had a nice lazy day, went to an afternoon movie, caught up with an old friend not seen for a long time, and now it is time for the wonderful Sleep Number bed !!

And I agree very much with not passing up the chance to swim with the manta rays down around Grand Cayman.  Kerry and I did that some years back, and it was a very magical experience!

Finding anything interesting in your sorting and packing George?

I posted this last week, but I found the 1995 tour cast recording of Camelot that I got when the tour came to Olympia.  There are still a couple of other CDs that I want to find, but I haven't searched through all the boxes that had never been unpacked when I moved into where I'm living now...the plan (as always ;)) is to go through everything after I move.

I've had a lovely weekend of DVD watching. Saw Malle's ELEVATOR TO THE GALLOWS - which I've never seen before. Loved it. (And the Miles Davis score! Wow!) Already posted about SKETCHES OF FRANK GEHRY. Which is as much about the creative process as it is about Gehry (real name Goldberg - born in Toronto). Also saw Chabrol's BETTY - I'm a big Chabrol fan. And THE APARTMENT (not Wilder) - which is terrific - except for the fact that for some reason the subtitles are for the hearing-impaired. So not only do you get the dialogue, but also "Soft knocking" or "Phone ringing." Strange!
Still have one more movie to watch. May or may not.

So today was an exciting end to Cinecon! I got Tab Hunter to autograph my copy of Polyester. I also saw an extreamly rare Valentino movie "Beyond The Rocks". Loved Gloria Swanson!

YAY FOR PICTURE #4!!! This is the last picture for now....
