Of course if we want to be historically correct, yesterday was the day they signed the declaration etc.  Adams thought July 2 would be celebrated from thence forward.

Watched some entertaining things on TV tonight.

I began with LEMONY SNICKET'S SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS. Certainly the movie was entertaining, but Jim Carrey has a way of wearing out his welcome with me in just about everything he does. He can be so entertaining in small doses and so irritating in large doses (like here) though I will say he seems to be having a ball playing all these characters.

Independence Eve met Independence Margo at a tryout in Philadelphia.  And the rest is history.

THE CLOSER did feature DOuglas Sills as the guest star (you were completely correct DR TPunk), and a subplot involved Brenda's 40th birthday.

Even though it was more than a decade ago, I remember the trauma of my 40th birthday, too.

Speaking of Eve, a friend was working at North Shore Muisc Theater when Dorothy Collins was appearing in APPLAUSE.  And he swears people would call asking for tickets to Dorothy Collins in APPLESAUCE.

I recorded MEDIUM tonight to watch tomorrow, and I'll be scouring the archives here for just the right movies and/or TV DVDs to watch tomorrow.

My sister played Margo in APPLAUSE at Iowa State a hundred years ago.  She was also Mame in both high school and college productions.  Funny they should both come up in todays discussion

Cat update.  They were very interested in each other at 5:00AM. Bootsie took a tour later while Callie was behind closed doors. Callie came out ready for battle and Bootsie wasn't here. That was actually very funny. She was all arched up and hissing and then saw it was just me and had this 'Oh, you aren't the one I was planning to attack' look on her face....all dressed up with no place to go

Bootsie has been acting pretty sad - sort of like kitty held hostage day 7. So today I noticed she's healed very well from surgery and the ears were good - so we played with cat toys in the living room, the dining room and her room.  She has been sleeping ever since

Of course I'm not getting a thing done.  I guess that's life when you have  Margo (Callie) and Eve (Bootsie) living in  the same place

I have been watching Treasure Hunter's and playing along with the challenges online.  I have absolutely no time in Aug to be flown to wherever the winner goes to participate in a chance to win $200,000, but somehow, I think I can arrange it if I get the call
