I forgot I'm supposed to go to a boxing day party at Mr. Nick Redman's, but I may be partied out right now.

I've been a little E&T myself lately.  What with my work schedule, I've found myself getting unexpectedly tired.  And cranky.  And blue-ish.

What had struck was another bout with depression.  It happens.

So I pulled back, upped my meds a bit (my doc approves), and concentrated on what needed to get done.

I've survived Christmas at work.

I've survived Christmas Day with the family.

I feel better now.

And now I need to catch up on all the happenings here.

Looks like I'll have to go into the office for a while today after all.  :(

Go into the office, and suddenly start dancing - that will be festive and confusing.

I really must try and jog, but I do hate it when it's chilly - it looks chilly.

When I was in Los Angeles I noticed that the native's idea of chilly varied considerably from my idea of chilly.

Back from the jog - difficult once again, and chilly to boot.  But, it's done and out of the way and I shall now go ship some packages.

Good morning dear Esteemed, partayed, and pooped-out BK --

Your pasta shindig sounded swell and yummy, and it would have been fun to be there!  And you've really hit the party circuit these past few days.  What next for you.... the White Party?....Palm Springs?......Key West?......Studio 54? ......

I had a quiet get together on Christmas eve, and then visited with Kerry and family yesterday late afternoon, and enjoyed some very tasty baked Ziti with a good meat sauce.  Then had a quiet evening later on, and enjoyed a good sleep.

Christmas music has been a little hard for me to listen to this year, but 2 real bright spots were listening to some of dear Larry Moore's arrangements that he sent me on DVD, and then also enjoying some of the wonderful things off of  "A Wonderful Guy."

My copy of "A.W.G." doesn't have a tray card or cover booklet, so I can't look up composers, or show origins, or arrangers, or anything like that.  Some of the guitar work sounds like Grant G. to me, but I'm not sure.  Overall, it is sure a beautiful orchestra sound on the CD.......and Guy can bring tears to me on several tracks.

MusicGuy - It may interest you to know (if you didn't know already) that Studio 54 is no longer the exclusive place it once was.  It's now a legit theater run by the Roundabout Theatre Company, all you need to get in is the $40 for one of the cheap seats; no getting past bouncers, no dress codes.    They still call it Studio 54, though.

Good day, to one and all.

I decided not to go to work today; and, so far, I haven't even done any work on the home front.  It is gray and wet out, and my beautiful view of the water is slightly diminished.  Still, there is always something warm and toasty about signing in to HHW.

BK--My mother was quite thrilled to have 2 Guy Haines CD's among her Christmas gifts. I also gave her the new Tony Bennett and Il Divo? CD's. She played Guy's CD's even before her beloved Tony Bennett!

No bouncers, no dress codes...  Sounds like my kind of place!

Isn't this the same place I might have seen "Cabaret" in NY back @ 2003?

Today I've been playing with some of my Christmas toys - new headphones for my iPod and a thingie that allows me to play and charge my iPod in the car.  Tomorrow DH Richard will take my computer to the Apple store in Cincinnati to have installed the 512MB of memory that he gave me for Christmas.  My mother-in-law didn't think that was very romantic.

In the last few weeks, we have seen the return of so many E&T Hainses and Kimlets.... Music Guy, Dan the Man, Jose SPiano ... to name a few; I wonder if there is any hope that Jason will return some day?

As for my shopping stop in Richmond... It was semi-successful.  The store did not have exactly what I was looking for, but they had something close to what I was looking for... And it was on sale too, so...

That was that.

I did end up stopping at IKEA too on the way back up to DC... However, I ended up not buying a thing.  I was mainly looking for some more shelving, but it appears that they have "updated" the system that I've been buying from them the past couple of years.  My "old" stuff should still work with their "new" stuff, but since they changed the standard heights of the units...  So, once I get all the boxed moved up to NYC over the next two weeks, then I'll see exactly what I need to buy.

And that was that.

DR Ginny - Installing memory on a Mac is actually quite easy, so...  However, as long as you have a Genius Bar appointment, having the store do it is not a bad deal.  -And you can look for more goodies while you're waiting at the Apple Store.  ;)
