Good morning, all! I don't know if it's the site or this library terminal, but I've had a very slow go this morning reading the notes and catching up.
Question: is there a way to change my password to something I can remember? Right now I have something like 14QST5swv1aXX. Who the H-E-double hockey stick (pronounced "fuck") can remember that?
I was indeed the only audience member for THE BROTHERS GRIMM, and that was the best part of the film. As to the movie, it's a strange mix of malignment of the fraudulent Brothers Grimm, Franco-Prussian history, comedy, and a mix of folklore and fable combining English and German tales. I liked Heath Ledger a lot, Matt Damon not so much but I hear the Weinstein boys insisted on him, and the rest of the cast acquitted itself well.
I found the story to be a sort of mess, but I liked the bits of "fairy tale": Sleeping Beauty, The Gingerbread Man, Hansel and Gretel, Snow White, Rapunzel, and others. I thought the script was victim of tampering with some needless cruelty, lots of S&M torture, and an ending that went on way too long. I loved the design, not so visually beautiful as SLEEPY HOLLW, but quite appropriate.
