Sorry to deprive you of business, DR FJL, but I have just installed TurboTax 2007.

And I'll be installing TaxCut 2007 within a few weeks myself.

Good morning!

Going to be in the 70s today, and it wasn't even that cold this morning when I went out to get the paper. We'll have another day of this paradise before temperatures start to drop.

TV REMINDER:

The return of MEDIUM tonight with Anjelica Huston beginning a six-episode story arc as a P.I. who hires Allison to assist her with cases.

I am SO excited about one of my favorite shows returning to the air.

Today I'll be beginning SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH, Season 3 box set. I did watch the show off and on during the five seasons it was on the air (always loved Salem the cat), so I'm looking forward to watching these episodes. There are 25 episodes for season 3.

I have no idea what the mail will bring with it today. I'm not aware of any DVDs or Blu-rays coming out next week that might arrive today, but you never know. And I only know of one outstanding Amazon order that hasn't gotten here yet.

Did you ever see Anjelica Huston in the movie, AGNES BROWN?

I did not mind SABRINA, THE TEENAGE WITCH. It was a nice little show.

On Encore Westerns Channel this month:

GUNSLINGER with John Ireland, Beverly Garland, and Allison Hayes

Watched it last night - it is a nice print, softer colors and printed very well.  P/S - although I don't know exactly how super SUPERSCOPE actually was.  It might have been like NATURAMA - where they just opened the side mats all the way and trimmed off the top and bottom.

DR FJL - I will sit on my hands, if I have to, to allow you your moment in the sun.

Otherwise, I would be The Usurper!

A role with which you are no stranger!

Yes, when it came out. My memories of it are vague, but I remember liking it and especially her.

My favorite performance of hers is not her Oscar-winning role in PRIZZI'S HONOR but rather in Woody Allen's CRIMES AND MISDEMEANORS. I also adore her in THE WITCHES. And, of course, her Morticia Adams is also just fine.

TOD:  There are many, many, MANY pasta dishes everyone should try.  Among my favorites:

Tortellini con ragu (this would be the meat-stuffed tortellini in basic spaghetti meat sauce).  Top it off with freshly grated Parmesan.  Open a liter of red table wine with which you may wash it all down.

Pasta with olive oil sauteed with garlic cloves and crushed red pepper and topped with freshly grated Parmesan.  This goes best with a white wine, but red works, too.

Spaghetti al arrabiata.  Yummmm.  Traditional meat sauce spiked with either chili or red pepper flakes.  It should be hot enough to induce a sweat while eating, but not too hot to actually enjoy.  Variations include a sausage sauce al arrabiato.

Oh, good golly.  I've just finished a bacon and egg sandwich and I'm getting hungry.

I'm going to have to close the lot pretty soon. That ''Lot Full'' sign is really heavy.

If you were calling the Oakland office, the answer would be "No, probably not.  At least, not today.  Call back next week."

Or is this one of those "anti-Thunderdome" dealies where if one car enters, two must leave?

Morning has broken here in Oakland.  And the skies are a mixture of clouds, fog and blue sky.

"They say" we may have a few showers today but that another storm is moving in tonight.  Nothing major, "they say."  But enough to give us all another soaking.

Speakling of Dream Girls of all types - The most committed non-verbal acting performance of 2007 must be that lady in the freecreditreport-dot-com ad, who has to act around the singer singing "I Married My Dream Girl (But she didn't tell me her credit was bad)" dissing her character for having bad credit.  I keep forgetting that she's acting.
