DR Ginny, except for the front of your house your neighborhood looks pretty ;)   I bet you will be glad when the work is done.

I am super excited. I just read that this tour of female YA writers (Smart Chicks kick it) is coming right near me in September:

http://www.smartchickskickit.com/schedule.html

Hopefully they will add a few more of the authors to the event that is here here (since I love 3 of them who are not listed for Montreal).

Also, I am praying that my niece will not schedule her birthday party for that time (it is on a saturday at 2pm and her birthday is on the Monday). Luckily my sister also likes at least one of those authors. And she sounded like she would be agreeable to doing the party on the Sunday (since she does have 6 months notice).

This is the bookstore i always go to. Fingers crossed.

Is anyone going to watch the new show on NBC. I think it's called Fashion Star.  I think i will try it.

I doubt it.

Nature always soothes me, especially walks

Same with me.  I often walk and talk at the same time so it is best to walk where I can't be overheard.

Doug R-what a lovely photo!!
It is, indeed. I hope I can stop and get some bluebonnet shots this spring and share them.

I hope so.

In my Firefox browser.....words that are not spelled correctly are still underlined in red.

Wow, most of my posts must look like one big long red line to you!

Dr Ginny-
Do noisy yellow trucks replace red robins as signs of spring?

Yes, they say we have two seasons in Ohio - winter and construction!

This doesn't sound good.

Lovely photo from DR DOUG R.

AND Mr Bunny has reappeared in my backyard, so I guess he wasn't eaten by the cats.

In my Firefox browser.....words that are not spelled correctly are still underlined in red.

Good news about the bunny.

I also have misspelled words underlined in red.

What the world needs now: Rice Whiskey Treats:

http://kattyskitchen.wordpress.com/2011/10/09/makers-markmallow-treats-a-k-a-rice-whisky-treats/

I would like to try those.

DR's Sam & TCB I suggest asking before eating Rice Krispies treats from now on.  Do you have to ask about the ingredients for other foods like I do with my allergies?

Does anyone other than myself watch THE WALKING DEAD?

I feel so alone.

No.  We are watching re-runs of WAGON TRAIN.  Does that make you feel less alone?

Yes, as I am doing likewise. I must say, Wagon Train certainly has some good stories.

Sherlock looked very sad when I left him this morning.  I was glad Keith let Sherlock out after I was gone to "help" him shovel.  I wish I had been here to see it.  Sherlock took the sock of his foot and happily ran around carrying it.  There was enough snow that he didn't scrape the pad of his foot again & make it worse.

It's raining here and I'm home recovering from a fever from last night and some major congestion.  I have cleared my calendar and I'm not leaving the couch.
