I know that Yom Kippur was one of Henry Willson's clients.

Holiday getting you down?  Tired of how every seems like a sourpuss?  Hungry?  (I bet you are!)  Then hie thee down to the Acorn to see The Brain From Planet X.  Sure, you can't eat candy today, but nothing can stop you from eating up some Eye Candy!  You might even see a rabbi...and laugh!  At a mere $20, it's the Yom Kippurist show in town!

DR JFL, are you going to post the link to the Starfighter video roll that DR Julie posted elsewhere?

I'm not FJL, but I play him on TV.

Here is the link -  it's a short video showing clips from two Starfighter songs, and brief interview with our wonderful director Elizabeth Lucas, and our most brilliant composer/lyricist Mr. Skip Kennon.

Thanks for asking!

Good morning, all!  I was going to sleep later but I had a phone call from my beloved sister-in-law Jo and I figured it was time.  The party at Angus was indeed fantastic: I got to meet the beautiful Naomi Kakuk's new husband - I said to her, "when BK told me you had gone to a wedding, I thought you were attending one!" - some friends of Merrill Grant's from Indianapolis, assorted boyfriends, girlfriends, and family of the cast and musicians.  My young friend Nicholas Stimler, who's been assisting Jeff Calhoun on all the HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL productions as well as WHITE CHRISTMAS, was one of my guests last night, and I'm encouraging him to ask our beautiful dance assistant Cassie out.

Nick, Jose, Cassie, and I waited with Erin (I love her!) and Natalie, our  rehearsal pianist, at the stage door, and then we learned that the actors were coming out through the theatre so we all ran back to the lobby to see if anyone was still there.  Then all walked to Angus' and on the way we picked up a few of the actors we'd missed - Steven, Denise, Joe - and went to partay! BJ and Cason arrived later because they decided to stop at theirr digs on the way. It was all quite a festive event.  I really love this production and the company, and I was happy to see the musicians get such nice credits in the program.

BK, until you mentioned it in your notes, I had no idea the first act was playing longer that usual.

Today, I have to deal with a real estate proposal, the NY State Dept of Motor Vehicles to insure myself that all matters pertaining to my (former) car have been resolved, a bit of editing, perhaps the NYPL, and a little dinner before the show with friends from the Library of Congress.

TOD: The Netflix films I haven't seen since I posted them last Friday

CD:  Streisand Stoney End, Guy Haines

VCR:  These tapes are stale!

My head is drooping on my desk due to lack of sleep!

I can only imagine what will happen tonight at 11:30 PM as I'm listening to the Rabbis' sermon for the second time.

Yes, it was wonderful to FINALLY hear the expected glowing reports.

Quite a trial wading through the nervous gratuities of vixmom and DakotaCelt and Miss Karen, all demanding someone tell them what had happened/how it went.

;D

our little gift for you, Darling, something to be snarky about!!
