Good morning, all! Tuesday is Wednesday, and time is out of joint for me. Today is more of Messrs Harold Arlen and Ira Gershwin, and I'm enjoying myself. I, too, received yesterday my copy of STAGES, which I'm taking to the recording office this morning.
My publisher contacted me yesterday to report some missing orchestra parts had been found, so that's a bit of pressure off my deadlines of the next month, and a missing friend materialized yesterday so Tuesday was a good news day (keeping Ira Gershwin in mind).
TOD: Well, the things I haven't approved of in the government since 9/11 include the manner in which our current administration is allowing two terrorist attacks to encourage a ridiculous but frightening "Homeland Security" system I think is one more step in its nazification of America and to promote a "war on terror" mentality to keep itself empowered. FEMA is now caught up in the Homeland Security nonsense and since our puppet president can't walk and chew gum at the same time, the evil threat behind the puppet, which clearly cares for neither humanity nor the environment is scrambling to throw blame on everyone else.
I've always thought the principles of the French Revolution were an excellent model. One the guilty parties are found, they should be taken in a tumbril to a park in Washington, DC, and be beheaded. If we're going to have blood spilled in Iraq and the Gulf Coast, I think all the budget cutters, slow movers, and the millions of inept in any regime should pay.
