However... With the way some peanuts are processed nowadays for peanut butter, there may be issues with "bad fat" and triglycerides, so...  And if you spread that peanut butter on bread that's been made with bleached, processed white flour, well, then you may have a problem.

Well...  Not really... Since peanut butter is a plant derived food, it does not - and can not - contain any cholesterol.  Cholesterol is only found in animal tissue.  So, unless Skippy starts adding bacon fat to their line of products...

;)

If I spread on the peanut butter, I'd be dead. I'm allergic!

OK. This is my last post for several days. I do not believe I'll have internet access while in NYC, so I'll have a full report when I return Sunday afternoon.

Take care, everyone.

I know it's too late, but have a great trip!

And if you get peanut butter with partially hydrogenated oils to stabalize the peanut butter (so that the natural oil doesn't separate), you've got all the trans fats from that!

Oh, I just read about the allergy thing.  That's a lot worse than the trans fats. :P

Good Evening!  Good Morning!

I went ahead and headed out to catch tonight's directing project.  It turned out to be at 11:30 instead of 11:00...  -There's a LOT of late night theatre going on up here.  And I think a lot of it is held late at night so the temps are cooler, since many of the smaller performance spaces do not have air conditioning - including the space we were in tonight - which is actually where the piece I'm working on will be...  Ah, well...

Tonight's presentation was Bertolt Brecht's The Exception and the Rule.  Interesting piece.  Lasted just over an hour.

Well, it's a bit warm and humid up here in Williamstown too.  However, I'm kind of used to it.  I lived for three summers in Richmond with no air conditioning.  After that, heat is just heat.  It happens.  It may not be comfortable at times, but it will always get cooler.  Eventually.  ;)

The Sugar Sydrome with Gaby Hoffman finishes up this week here, and I hope I can catch a performance on Saturday.  On the Razzle just opened tonight.  Michael McKean is starring.  If there are enough empty seats, I may just catch both shows this weekend.

My neck hurts.

Wasn't that a fine sentence?

I had a very sweet e-mail today from someone who's just finished Kritzer Time.  She just loved all three books.  Her note was very poignant, and for those who've read the book you'll know why - this person was an acquaintence of the book's real-life leading female character, Samantha (in the book).

Hi All!
Well I made it to Portland. A much longer trip than it should have been. As we boarded the plane in Denver the flight attendant said "Hurry everyone we're trying to beat the oncoming thunderstorm" What a comforting thing to hear!

Anyway, we didn't beat it and spent 1 1/2 hours sitting on the plane at the gate.  I'd rather do that than be in a thunderstorm, so no complaining, but it did  make for a long flight.

DR Jane - I am at the Hilton Exectutive Towers - its kitty-corner from the Portland Hilton.

This morning I got the call that my new Prius was in - so I managed to get there, do the paperwork just in time to drive to the airport.  I LOVE IT! It is so much cooler than my old Prius.

It's been a long day, but I may have to wander down to the bar and see some friends. I ran into a few when I got here, but decided to go to the room and check the internet for a little while

I'm eating ice cream for dinner.

How's THAT for a fine sentence?

Today we killed off Alexander the Great, and tomorrow is the final, and then Ancient Greek history is over with. I'm supposed to be studying for the final now, but instead I'm on the internet and eating ice cream. How do you like that?

DR TPunk, if you come to San Jose you're in my neck of the woods and a good 340 miles away from LA, I think BK should come here.  I don't think we've ever had a SF/SJ get together before (not that there are many of us!)

Wasn't I just in Portland?  JMK would be able to tell us, but he has been so errant and truant on this board (he's certainly been on other boards) that I feel he is going to be due a rather large and vicious bitch-slapping.

As a matter of fact, JMK didn't even attempt an answer in the trivia contest.  Just what is WITH him anyway?  Just disappearing like that.  Someone drop him a line and tell him what a dweeb he's being.

I've given up on the Trivia - way too complex and I would only have Google to help.

DR Sanda I only recently watched a fascinating History Channel programme on Alex the Great.

Last night's viewing was AFI's programme from last year (I think) on 100 Greatest Film Songs - strange (to me) criteria.

Tonight's viewing may be the movie "Roseland" about which I know very little indeed.
