Today I took a letter from my physical therapist to my surgeon.  The letter contained my latest, newly improved, stats on how I'm doing.  The surgeon was very pleased, and even more excited when he looked at my x-rays.

With big smiles the surgeon released me & said it is now just my therapist, who he also thinks is great, and me.  :D :D :D

I drove to the mail box earlier today.  It wasn't easy & I was grateful for the rest while Keith fixed the mailbox making it stationary instead of sliding all over.  We kept expecting the mailman but he didn't show.  I'm deciding to walk or drive back down.  My shoulder is still hurting.  On the other hand spring has arrived & Keith can no longer drive me everywhere as he has too much work to do.  I'm thinking short trips to begin with is a good idea.

Thanks DR’s Laura & Ginny. As happy as I am I keep reminding myself I shall still have to be patient for the long road ahead.

All I know is I have not seen days this low in several years, since the beginning of this board.  I find it disconcerting, frankly.

Our census came today.

As did ours.

A BIG waste of money was the letter we received last week telling us it would arrive soon. ::)

Off to do my exercises.  I skipped the morning ones.  I don't think I have ever done that before.  I shall have to work extra hard now.

I have been slogging through reviews.  GOTTERDAMMERUNG, DON GIOVANNI, I ask you, is there an opera that doesn't have death and destruction in it?  ;)

I do have a couple of what I call "ambient television" BD's to do, so that will be a nice change of pace.  Four more reviews and I've made my monthly quota.  (Unlike a lot of sites I've worked for, at Blu-ray we're contractually bound to deliver at least 20 reviews a month.  That's a lot of screentime, when you're doing operas that regularly run between 3-5 hours each).

I've been watching a motion picture on DVD - a Warner Archive title - haven't seen this puppy since it came out in 1969 - whilst in NY - in fact, I should add it to the book.

What kind of pervert surgeon gets excited looking at a woman's x-rays?

Well, either you or elmore are going to have to start working on another Broadway show.

I'm telling you, the day we hit a new low is the day I do something that might be perceived as unpopular with the populace.  We've lost too many people I like and we've had only a couple of people come here recently (I'm working on more, believe me) and the one thing I will not allow this site to do is die a slow, lugubrious death.

If you, BK, can write an entire column on the previous night's rehearsal, George can certainly do better than "we ran over some stuff."

BK, we are almost to Page Five and it isn't even 6:00 yet.  And last week it wouldn't even have been five yet.
