Well, you've read the notes, the notes had content and were content with said content, and now it is time for you to post until the contented cows come home.

And the word of the day is: PERFIDIOUS!

And now - Dino at the piano.

I hear Dino lives in Arizona - just him and his squirrels.

The other smart thing I did re the web series was send out a Kritzerland eBlast announcing it, with the link to the channel - as well as announcing the Peter Filicia news.

BK, when will Peter Filicia's column start on Kritzerland?
-
Oh...found it:
And it's official - Mr. Filichia will be doing his column on Kritzerland - once a week, looks like every Friday starting next week.
-
Good morning, all! I have to be up early to accomplish all I need to get done today. As is typical when I know I need to be out of bed early, I slept quite poorly. I had one really weird dream involving our E&T DR Rodzinski and a bee sting, and the remainder of the night was one in which I was quite restless. I suspect that around 3 pm I will crash for a couple of hours.
At noon, I have to be at Toyland to see if Curtis and I can get the scanner and printer back online and working properly. At some point I need to meet Brent, our Appalachian musical director, and hand him a heap of music. My first agenda this morning is to sketch out this new piece, "The Old Year Now Has Passed Away." I keep thinking there's a number I've missed, so I need to run through the musical sequence again and check it over.
I think that's all of this morning's news.

Gettng done vibes for DR ELMORE.
Thanks for the email.

Yesterday my inner web was down almost all day - of course I was at work anyway - but it was not a good thing.
And today is a work day, of course.
oh well.
-
My sister's new computer arrived yesterday so I spent the evening setting it up before I give it to her.
It has a nifty touch screen which is VERY nice.
-
I hate the word WORK.
-
Saturday morning greetings! My body-clock has adjusted nicely and I woke up around 7am feeling quite refreshed. Today I get to watch Michigan football for the first time in 4 weeks - Go, Blue!
-
I have snow!
-
Good morning, all.
-
I have snow!
My heartiest condolences.
-
Glad to know that Mr. F. will be over at Kritzerland!

TOD: I have encountered too many highfalutin words since I've started grad school and many of them are made up in the that Germanic way of pressing a bunch of words together. I discount their very existence and complain to my teachers that the authors are purposefully trying to cover their lack of writing skills by impeding the flow of communication. Since the teachers can't write either, few acknowledge what I'm saying to be true.
Anyway, here's a word from too many classes that I love to hate: epistomological.
I also find the word jejune to be hoot. And, yes, I remember the great Woody Allen routine about it.

Congrats on getting back to normal in terms of time. I always find that a great feeling.

Morning all.
That is all.
-
I slept late and I'm now up and about.

We watched Up in the Air last night and really liked it.

I certainly enjoyed the new Out of the Box preview....and good news about Mr Filichia's column.

And now I am off to work. Oh well.

It's cold (39 degrees, I know that's not cold but that's the word they are using) and raining in Manhattan today.

Glad to hear PF is coming to Kritzerland.

I'm just having breakfast now. Oatmeal, raisins, banana, cinnamon, walnuts and coffee.

Beginning Monday and for the next two weeks we will be putting in overtime rearranging our deck chairs.

And on that happy note, goodbye for now.

DR Ginny, those snaps of Germany were wonderful! What gorgeous architecture!!! Thanks for sharing...now to look at Luxembourg!

Got up early this morning and began my Halloween weekend movie viewing with THE YESTERDAY MACHINE which appears to be a regional film made in Texas or someplace where everyone speaks Southern.
Thanks JRand, I love this type of obscurity!

I get lots of squirrels in the garden. I feed them nuts. Should I be killing them instead?
-
I've got a prepared garlic and herb spatchcock chicken for cooking tomorrow. I've not done one before. Hopefully it will be yummy.
I'm just about to have a Pepponi Pizza on a stonebaked base. It's 470 calories - Oops, I see that is for half the pizza.

Once again, sorry for being E&T for the past few days. Mom checked into the hospital on Wednesday to finally have her gall bladder removed. And, of course, her surgery was delayed a day because the anesteasaligist didn't like how her legs were swollen and because he heard "crackles" in her lungs. So
Mom spent the rest of the day in her hospital bed on a water pill and dealing with the results of that. Also, neither the cardiologist nor the pulmonary doctor heard any lung "crackles" or saw any evidence of heart failure. So she had her surgery on Thursday with no problems. Right now she's enjoying a flounder for lunch--her first real food since Tuesday.
-
On behalf of the Squirrel world, we apologize to you Miss Vixter. And thank you for saving one of us!
Very cute Cilla.
DR's Vixmom & Vixter who left the lid off of the trash can to begin with?

It snowed in Manhattan! It's all gone now but we did have some snow. It was supposed to happen later today into the evening. Tomorrow is supposed to be sunny and 48 degrees so any vestiges of snow will be long gone.

DR Jane, Germany was not at the top of my "must see" places in Europe, but Richard has wanted to go back since he left there after the Army. I enjoyed it WAY more than I expected and would go back to any of the places we visited for more leisurely visits.

I'm up - the doorbell rang at nine-twenty - the Handy Man's helper asking for a check. Then I tried to go back to sleep but I got two telephonic calls in a row - one from Peter Filicia. We're all set now - Filicia on Friday will debut next week.
-
I have to say that all of Facebook's "improvements" and fixes have really helped the site to be not nearly as helpful to get the word out as it once was. Four months ago had I put up the trailer for Outside The Box and asked people to "like" the page and subscribe to the channel, we would have had a huge response. Now - no. Nobody is even aware. I don't know what they've done, but in days of old all 2300 of my "friends" would have at least SEEN the stuff. Now - no. I know this because I've been astonished at the low response - last night I sent out an eBlast about the show to Kritzerland's list and voila - now we're getting some subscribers and people are excited about it. And many of these people are "friends" on Facebook and had no clew about any of it.

WOW!

Oh... And since the sound department forgot(?) to set up an additional keyboard for this morning's rehearsal, I used the Keyboard app on my iPad to "play" rehearsal. Well, to at least give pitches. Thankfully, it was mainly a staging rehearsal, so it wasn't too detrimental. *Although, as I looked over at Alex, all I could think of was, "If his father could see me now." ::)

TOD:
My *least* favorite word of late is "Commute" and it has nothing to do with my daily train rides. "Commute" is also an insurance deal term and it was a big part of the latest release of the software system I do work on. I've been hearing people invent all kinds of versions of this word during the past ten months and it drives me crazy. "Commutings", "Commutations", "Commutization"--everyone wants to make up their own versions of the word. It's worse when I find myself using them.
Grrrrrrr...

I'm on a wedding registry shopping for another wedding we won't get to, again because it is too close to our personal trip. We were invited to two weddings in So. California for the long weekend following Thanksgiving. I love weddings & the one I missed in August & the one on the 25th are both the children of long time dear friends. The wedding, actually reception, is for our long time dear friend.
Oh well, back to shopping.

No, DR Jane, this was my first trip out of the country (other than border towns in Canada and Mexico). We're thinking Great Britain in 2013 as our next trip...

This morning at about 1:44 am, the power went out in my house...and around the condo complex (I looked out my skylight). I had a flashlight, but I didn't want to waste the power reading, so I brushed my teeth and went to bed. The power eventually came back about an hour later and woke me up. :P I had to go downstairs and turn off the lights that came on and then I went back to bed.

When I went to pay my check at lunch, I noticed that my credit card slip said "CREDIT REFUND" on it. Well... I went up to the counter to fix it, which I think I did. However, it appeared a bunch of other tickets processed today were processed as Refunds instead of Debits.

Back from stuff - had some poached eggs, picked up an important envelope, did a little art project for the Gardenia show, which I screwed up the last two lines of so I now have to go buy some white out to redo them - and it will take a lot of white out because it's about fifteen words. I finessed the patter for the Gardenia show and I'm about to do the four-mile jog. Then I'll get ready to go to Long Beach for the opening of Hairspray.

I think - well, more like "know" that there's a style/method of directing and choreographing that is inherently inefficient and time-consuming, yet considered "normal" and "artistic".

Finally finished volume 4 of The Twilight Zone. I've changed my mind about these 1 hour episodes - they are nowhere near as good as the 30 minute ones. In fact I fell asleep watching the final episode. On to volume 5 now, where fortunately they're back to the usual length.

I forgot how much i dislike it when the weather gets cold. I don't like indoor exercising. Right now the weather is too cold to bike much. So the past few weeks i've only gone once per week. And once swimming. That is only 2 days of exercise when i had been doing 6. I"m going to try to bike more if it's sunny. Even if it is less than 50F. And I think in the winter i'll try to swim twice a week. Then maybe i can do my indoor bike once or twice a week.

My niece called to ask if i wanted to come over to help carve her pumpkin. I didn't realize that meant i would dig out the seeds, design it and carve it myself. :)
Actually she designed it on paper i just had to carve it. And she did dig out some of the seeds. I just thought i was going over to watch them do the pumpkin. Or i would have printed out design options from the internet.
As it is the pumpkin has a triangle nose, triangle eyes, a very thin wide smile, and 2 teeth fangs under his mouth! :)

It's been a fairly nice day today. it was about 60 degrees, but felt a little chilly. DR Jane - Like DR Jose, I am on a Mac using Safari. When I go to my album there's a box in the upper right corner that says "Add Photos."

Thanks Ginny. I went back to the album I want to add photos to & looked in the upper right corner & only saw "tag". I then checked older albums & "add" was there, but not on the new album when I returned. Now if finally says "tag". I just checked too many times in the same place to have missed it.

I'm sitting in a pizza parlor waiting for a sausage and black olive pizza. Last minute decision to get one before I went home so now I have to wait for 20 minutes.
-
Thanks, all, for the vibes!
I'm watching Mom take a nap in a chair. It's funny 'cause I can see she's dreaming (r.e.m.) and I see her heart monitor going crazy along with it. I wonder what this dream is about...
Squirrels.
Actually, when she woke up, she asked me if I knew who Edmundo Ros was.
;D
How is the weather there. I spoke to my friend who lives in Persakie today. She was lucky her flight home arrived this morning or she would not have been home to tell the neighbor to move his car from under her tree.

My friend in NY who suffered so much from Irene just posted
State of emergency declared! Its really scarry out there! Neighbor's roof collapsing! Still have 12 plus hours of This. Cell phone off on service due to emergency use.
She isn't bothered by the power outages since she is still without power, water, etc. Thankfully the tree on top of her house was finally removed this week. There are still trees around the power lines & on her property that might not survive this onslaught.
She is scheduled for propane, water & septic next week. I hope this storm doesn't interfere with that.

Here in the South of Jersey we have a little light wet snow falling but up where my sister lives in Doylestown they already have 4 inches Plus her power went out about 2:00 this afternoon.
From what I heard on the news, Perkesie can get 6-8 inches!

Larry, my sister's boyfriend, brought over his laptop and I'm now recording the PBS showing of the filmed "Rigoletto a Mantova (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1687279/)" with Placido Domingo, where they performed it at the specific places that are referenced in the opera.

My friend was looking forward to a special dinner this evening in a nice restaurant about ten minutes from her house. I suspect she won't make it. It is a group function & I hope they cancel it. She mentioned Perkasie, was getting hit harder than the surrounding areas. When I spoke to her the power had been briefly been lost than returned. I hope she doesn't lose power.
-
I hope your friend keeps her power tonight, DR Jane!
And thanks to everyone else for the vibes for Mom. I left her enjoying The Lawrence Welk Show.
I'm home with my pizza. Putting on the IT'S THE GREAT PUMPKIN, CHARLIE BROWN dvd.

I thought she didn't have power?

Tonight at 8:00, PBS is showing ANNIE GET YOUR GUN. I am starting to enjoy these Saturday classics.
-
They didn't have that Post It tape roll stuff - so I used whiteout - it worked fine.
-
Did the four-mile jog, have shaved and will shortly shower, after which I shall be on my way to the Beach of Long to see Hairspray.

This is my dear friend in Pennsylvania. The one without power, etc due to Irene is in NY.

DR's Jose & Ginny thank you for the FB help. I downloaded one photo to my album. I'll do more later.

Not in New York. At 9pm our PBS station is showing A Shot in the Dark, not a "classic" in my humble opinion.

Oh, I don't know; it is probably a lot funnier that ANNIE GET YOUR GUN.

Jane, to add photos or an album you need to be on your profile page, not your home page. So go to the upper right and click on your name and that should take you to your profile page. Then click on "Photos" on the left and click "upload photos" it will ask if you want to create an album

Thanks Cilla. I was there. I should have thought to look at older albums. I don't know why I didn't see it, though I swear it wasn't there at first. I just read this again. I was trying to add to my most recent album. If you look at FB you will see I accomplished my goal. :)

Good Evening!
And... I'm back at my brother's place.
-
I have snow!
Hi td! Have you read THE CAT'S TABLE?
I've not read it: shall definitely look into it.
I've just discovered the mystery/thriller writer James Becker, and have read two of his novels in the past few days:
THE FIRST APOSTLE
THE MOSES STONE
I recommend them highly as breezy entertainment.
-
I will tell my brother, if he hasn't already discover them.
-
I think THE CAT'S TABLE is going to be the first book I purchase for my Nook. Our local bookstore now sells ebooks & I like the idea of supporting them. They are very good employers to their employees.
-
G'night!

My parents are coming up from Richmond tomorrow. Originally, they had planned to come up for dinner, and to celebrate the birthday of my brother, Mike. His birthday is on Halloween. Well, then they changed it to lunch so that I could attend before my rehearsal. However, the place they picked is not exactly convenient for me to get to rehearsal on time tomorrow afternoon, especially with all of the road closures for the Marine Corps Marathon. So... I hope I get to see my family for at least 30 minutes.

G'night, DR TCB.

Good night, TCB!

Yes, Jane, I noticed after I posted that you must have figured it out. Loved the photos, btw

Hmmm The Cat's Table looks interesting. I'm looking for a book right now, just finished Wendy and the Lost Boys the other day. I may read a real book though.

Thanks. I need to download more now that I know how to add them.
-
I'm thinking the sluggishness of my internet connection might be why "add" did not appear consistently.

Are they aware you will only be there for a very short time?

'night!

We had a beautiful day for a butterfly garden tour. The monarchs came out and fluttered around on cue, and I had several caterpillars and a chrysalis to show. The Monarch Scientist's garden really wowed everyone.
-
I'm glad your day was perfect. :)

'night

Hey, Jose, can you do me a favor? Let Antipholus in.
Which one?
All of them.

Yep.
*I'll also be seeing them next weekend when they come to see the show.

Umm... Well... It may take a while for our choreographer to work out their traffic pattern.
::)

And since tomorrow will be another long day for me...
Goodnight.

Found in San Antonio: A slaw dog!

We're back from a fun house party held to fund Gabe's high school foundation. It was held at the parents of two girls attending Gabe's school, and it turns out the husband is Portland's Police Chief! I joked with Betsy that his daughters are NEVER going to have boyfriends hit on them. :)
-
Finally back after a very long Hairspray - I was starving so I stopped at Jerry's and had a cup of chicken soup and a chopped salad.

I like it. I read some reviews on-line about the broadcast and I found more that are favorable than not. I just really like the idea of them singing live and you can tell that they're not lip-syncing. I recorded it to his laptop so that he can make a Blu-ray disc.
Larry, you had mentioned that you wanted to see it when I first recorded it from PBS and I asked Larry if he would make two copies. He said that it's no problem. The only problem is that he has several projects ahead of this, but he'll have the show recorded on his laptop and now I'll be able to delete it from my DVR...unless you just want a regular (non-hi-def) DVD. I could do that, myself. Just let me know. :D
