Are we going into our eighteenth or nineteenth year - I can never figure this out.
I have many fond memories from this site and I treasure you all (well most of you anyway
;)
HAPPY 18th ANNIVERSARY TO OUR VERY OWN HAINES HIS WAY!!
Today I saw "The Current War." I learned more about Alternating vs Direct Current than I ever thought I would. It was actually an entertaining movie and some of it takes place in my hometown, Buffalo, which apparently has the dubious distinction of being the location of the first use of the electric chair.
The two-CD set of Hadestown has come in at the library. Am I so wrong for not really wanting to listen to it?
Starting an old Glenn Ford TV movie called The Brotherhood of the Bell. It's got a great cast, including Dean Jagger, Rosemary Forsyth, William Conrad and Dabney Coleman, who was in The Scalphunters earlier today.
I called the pharmacy and the prescriptions were indeed filled and waiting on me, so I caught a bus, and now I'm home.
Well, I need to get to sleep. I don't get to sleep in this morning because I have some things to do. Then, I'll usher again for Songs for a New World, as will my friend Margo, then I'm sure that we'll go out to eat afterward.
Have a good day, all!
So, the Scalphunters continues. It's not great, but it's fairly enjoyable. I guess it belongs to that series of adult westerns that came about when the ratings system came in. A little more cussing, a little more violence, a little more sex.

It has been a grand journey

DR elmore do you text? If so ask your pharmacy if they offer text notifications. Our pharmacy sends a quick text. Later, within the next few days, we receive a robo call.
I tried getting a Popeyes chicken sandwich but the line was 30 minutes long.
George, wasn’t 42ND STREET suppose to be rebroadcast?
But I have last night’s THE KING AND I, but no 42ND STREET.
Finished with my viewing.
With my viewing I'm finished.
If anyone is interested, I'm finished with my viewing.
But I have last night’s THE KING AND I, but no 42ND STREET.
I made DVDs for Jrand, John and Vixmom. Would you like a copy? Anyone else?

I guess I will have to beg for one. I just double checked and all I have is THE KING AND I. Thank you, George.
I thought you were going out to eat after the show.
It starts with the auditions and goes thru rehearsals and right up to opening night.

Was it good? Did you like it?
I have always enjoyed the folks here at HHW, although there have been some irritating and annoying ones as well....most of them are gone. HA!

It was kind of fun. It was kind of like eavesdropping at any of our local theaters. They mentioned several times that it was the largest and most complicated production they had ever attempted.
Which seemed strange, since the show they did just before GYPSY was TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD.
Interesting dive, George. How is the food on their rather limited menu?

Limited menu?? I hope you're being facetious. ;) They have quite an extensive menu, and I've always enjoyed the food.
SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD is the only show Broadway Olympia is doing this season?

Sorry, it just seemed rather limited.

Yes. It's a "Passion Project" (whatever that exactly means). Tonight, I'd overheard someone saying that they heard that BOP is losing money on this. They have not had big crowds at all. Those who've seen it have really enjoyed it, but not a lot of people have seen it.

Oh. Maybe the menu in the restaurant has more items than what's online.

Perhaps when all of it is printed on one menu it looks less limited.
