I think I get to take the evening off from tax returns. May start the daunting task of catching up.

I can't remember - doesn't Carol come off a whole lot better than Mary in that book?

I think Mary comes out more sympathetic. Mary had a hard time remembering her lines, but Channing was a horror to her. Really two faced. It could be she is a manic depressive because she had such mood swings.

Manic or not, that's no excuse for bad lipstick!   :P

When I was in Burbank last, I remember that BK sent me over to Carol Channing's table to ask her a question. I have forgotten what the question was, however, but I got her autograph at the same time.

I went shopping and had lunch at Star India. I had delicious Lamb Saag and Cabbage Masala. I am stuffed and ready for a nap, or a movie, or both.

Shayne, I answered the first time you asked - yes, Jackie Cain does the vocal on the album.  Did you get the e-mail I sent you?

Good Evening!

There are a lot of people in town right now for tomorrow's Cooper River Bridge Run.  A lot.  I was going to dine downtown, but after it took me 15 minutes to go 4 blocks, I decided to head back across the Ravenel Bridge into Mount Pleasant...

...Where I decided to try Oriental Garden out for a sushi dinner.  Talk about an unassuming place.  The sushi was very good, surprisingly good (imho).  OH!  And they even have a drive-thru!  Just check out this PIC.

Did you meet anyone at the footbridge?

I thought I had told it before - or maybe it was deemed too shocking for HHW.

I got the story from the horse's mouth, so to speak.

I am afraid to ask what that means!

I may not be back on here after this morning for a 24-hour period. This afternoon, I'm heading up to Winston-Salem to see best friend John's mother in a production of Agatha Christie's SPIDER'S WEB. I have seen his mother act before (she's really great) but I've never seen this particular Christie play which is the major reason I wanted to go.

We'll go up and see the play tonight, and I'll be spending the night with my friend Gregg who lives there. We're coming back late Saturday morning, so it'll likely be Saturday noon or so before I can get back on-line here.

Just wanted to explain my E&T behavior for anyone who will notice my absence.

Thank you for explaining, Matt.  Of course you will be missed.

DR JoseSPiano - when you show finally goes up, how many musicians will you be conducting in the pit?

Is that a "coded" question? Where's the ... coda?! :)

Gay marriage now legal in Iowa??

Yup. http://www.desmoinesregister.com/article/20090403/NEWS/90403010/-1/NLETTER04?source=nletter-breakingnews

Hoo and Ray!!  And I love that it was a unanimous ruling. :)

Good Lord, I hope it is not retroactive; or I may still be married to that whack job from Des Moines.

OK, Twitterers, help me out, please.

I got a request from someone I do not know who wants to "follow" my Tweets.  Since I don't Tweet anyway, it doesn't really matter.  But if I deny the request, do they get a message that I denied their request, or just it just disappear into the InterEther like a denied friend request does on Facebook?

Thanks kindly in advance for your advice!    :)

I am fresh from a nap and now trying to decide whether to watch an Indian movie or a Japanese movie.
