But it makes for a great photo-op:

Whoever recommended Wonderfalls here (Elmore, perchance?):  thank you!  We started watching last night and are loving it.  It was fun to see it was yet another show that my friend Krista Vernoff is/was involved in.  She was a singing waitress on the ship I was MD for for years, many years ago.  Her sister was in some Woody Allen movie, but I forget which one.

Yep. It was me.  I loved the series.  I knew Sebastien Dhavernas, the father of the leading lady, back in my Drama Book Shop days.

Heading down now to clean the dining room and then reacquaint myself with Jason Bourne in his third (and final?) adventure.

Now our musical director won't be arriving until 7:45.  I'm not happy right now, and I've fired off a strong but nice e-mail about it.

I haven't had any news on all day, so I don't know what I missed. I thought Arizona had the stupid governors.

bk - now that they've changed the time [once] and location [twice] of your rehearsal, better make sure that they haven't changed the show!

Back from a lovely dinner at a great restaraunt just two blocks from our home.  We both had the gorgonzola salad with onions.  I had meatloaf and a baked potato, the DH had tilapia.

Favorite Twilight Zone episodes:

TO SERVE MAN
LIVING DOLL
THE MONSERS ARE DUE ON MAPLE STREET

I don't have any favorite NIGHT GALLERY episodes because I was rarely able to get past the opening of the show...scared the living day out of me! Same with The Outer Limits....I still get chills from the theme music to both shows.

I have a huge amount of THRILLER and ONE STEP BEYOND episodes to watch one of these days. Up to now I have only seen a few episodes of each show.

ONE STEP BEYOND was the show that scared the feathers out of me.  The music alone was scary, but some of the epsiodes gave me nightmares for days nights.  I always swore that I would never watch that program again..... but I did.

And then there was the THRILLER episode about the mirror.

It is ironic that in these days of Freddy Krueger and Jason and the Friday the 13th guy; those terrifying dramas of our youth seem rather harmless today.

Here's something fun that Richard just emailed to me:

Subject: Retirement Choices

Where to Live After Retirement

You can live in New York City where... 1. You say 'the city' and expect everyone to know you mean Manhattan. 2. You can get into a four-hour argument about how to get from Columbus Circle to Battery Park, but can't find Wisconsin on a map. 3. You think Central Park is 'nature,' 4. You believe that being able to swear at people in their own language makes you multi-lingual. 5. You've worn out a car horn. 6. You think eye contact is an act of aggression. **

I also want my hour of sleep back; actually I want my entire night of sleep I missed returned to me.  While I was walking yesterday a neighbors dog ran up and smashed her head up into my left hand (oh, the joys of being loved so much).  My hand was slightly bent so she got my knuckles and jarred up through the wrist and forearm.  I’m better this morning & the swelling in my finger has gone done, but my fingers, hand, wrist & forearm sure ached last night.

Darn, I’m so tired I completely forgot I left a pot of basmati on the stove to boil.  Since I’m running the dryer I didn’t hear it boiling over.  As I walked into the kitchen I smelled it burning.  I fear I have ruined a good pot.

Jane, you and my sister would be quite a pair!  She slipped in the bathroom on New Year's Eve.  She had just recovered from that when she tripped coming out of a restaurant and broke different ribs.   Last week she was fighting the virus that is running thru the Northwest.  Today she finally returned to work and the first thing she showed was her thumb which she broke on Saturday.
