I'm listening now!
Horses and all that. You had to be there I guess. It's still that irritating voice.

"Some people" is playing.  no!  It's not for me.

Would you be interested in Emily Skinner in THE WITCHES OF EASTWICK?

DR elmore3003 - you surprise me!  I thought you hated her guts.

I don't hate her guts. I just think she's a pretentious twit and a lousy person. How can I badmouth her if I don't hear it?

Thanks td.  I saw "Witches" in London. It just is not a good musical.  The lyrics "seem" clever but nothing really seems to work. The cast was great. It is one of those musicals I just can't be bothered listening to again on CD.  (and I really like Emily Skinner).

I enjoyed the book of "Witches", thought the film destroyed it and the musical really seemed to be from the film rather than the book.

DR Jose has gone from being one of my dearest friends to MY HERO! He just brought me Cake!

I've been reading about this sci fi channel series TIN MAN.  I hope it's good, but I'd rather see a miniseries f the novel WICKED.

And the word of the day is: JENTACULAR!
Will Keith, determined to lose weight and following the logic that, if breakfast is the most important meal of the day then it logically is the meal to skip if weight-loss is the goal, took up jogging every morn and, to avoid anything JENTACULAR, planned his JAUNT CLEAR of every donut shoppe and coffee shop.

Then Starbucks opened two branches on either side of his apartment building.  The poor guy's been a couch potato ever since.

My cat just brought me his toy. For probably the 10th time today.

I think of him as "The Enabler", because I play with him and tehn the other cats join in.

Well, maybe "The Instigator" would be a better title.

The news about our house is better than expected: there IS a Peachtree Creek Parkway which will be built across the creek from our house. It crosses into our neighborhood about 5 houses up from us, so at least it won't be quite next to our house, and maybe they will consider moving the crossing further east, since there is no neighborhood on the other side of the creek.

It just reminds me that nowhere is safe from development!

The cat has decided to abandon his toy since I'm not playing with him, and crawl up on my shoulders while I type. Now he's snoring. At least he's keeping me warm!

Trick or Treat?

Hmmmm....I'll have to give that one some thought.

Why is it that when I open my door on Halloween, all anyone ever yells is "Treat?"

Well...the roller coaster continues... last night after Callie was so calmly sleeping she got up and her back legs, well at least one of them was very weak, she almost fell over several times.   It was still that way this morning.  We went to the vet this morning and she did a full blood panel. I am convinced that there is something unrelated to her bowel problem going on here.

I mentioned to the vet about the phosphate enema, she said she noticed too but it was 6 months ago, we looked at the chart and I pointed out that it was in September and she has never really recovered since.   The results of her blood work will be in tomorrow.   With her weak hind legs, I'm very worried.

Callie seems pretty calm today. She let me give her her regular meds in the regular doses without any objection.  I have a lot to do at work, but just can't seem to get my mind on it.

Healthy vibes to dear Callie.

I am "preparing" some chicken noodle soup.  I put a whole chicken in a crockpot last night and it cooked all night.

Wow, this method of cooking chicken amazes me.  Sounds like it would make a great pot of soup.  Just surprised that you don't have to cut up the chicken in pieces for it to be fully cooked.

Recruiters have been going to the Pittsburgh school campuses.  Craig interviewed for a government job he found interesting.  They liked him and he had a follow-up phone interview.  Now he has been invited to DC, where the job is, for another interview. :D  This is going much faster than he expected.  It would be great to know he has a job waiting for him.

That's wonderful!  Good Luck to DS Craig!! ;D

I am very much looking forward to halloween tomorrow. 2 year old megan has requested lasagna. So i will be making that for her before she goes for her first Trick-Or-Treat.

I will pick up her and my sister, and her dad will come later.

I have no idea if she will dress up. She has a purple unicorn costume. But she doesn't really like it. Plus i'm not sure if she will get the idea of going out.  I have a couple back-up costumes if she refuses to put on the unicorn (devil and witch).

I put on the witches hat, mask and green hair on the weekend. And the look on her face when she saw me was pure terror. Even though she could hear my voice.

I carved my pumpkin today! And even open up the box of mini-chocolate bars (and sampled a few!) :)

Oh and i got sort of teary yesterday.  My sis called me yesterday because megan was bawling. She wanted to see me (and i don't see her on mondays so my sis told her that). It's the first time she's every cried because she missed me.  When her daddy came home she asked him, "where auntie?". She thought i was with him.

On another note, BRASS DIVA the first of two new Ethel Merman bios arrived today.  The author can't even get the facts about Mme du Barry, mistress of Louis XV, correct.  This bodes ill.

The library where I work has ordered both books.  I have holds on both, also.  So...what else is wrong with this one??
