I guess I need to go back and relink all my Frances Farmer comments now, too.

See you in 2025.

FYI: I really am loving rehearsing with this cast. Part of me just wants to stay in the rehearsal room having them sing five feet from me. And toat me. ;)

Does anyone know if a script for the original "Shuffle Along" is available to someone like me out in the sticks?

No.  There is not.

There's a crazy woman working on one of the Eubie Blake shows, but she's a sociologist with no performance, music, or music editing background, and it's a mess.

I'm back from my long long long Roberta meeting. The show is a mess! I'm crabby, very sleepy, and I have to have a long long telephic conversation about it tonight. Someone, shot me.

Well, if I got shot, I'd be crabby too.

T.O.D.

This is a kind of ASK BK DAY question, but really more of an FYI to Bruce.

Are you aware that Amazon.com is saying that the CD for THE BRAIN FROM PLANET X is temporarily out of stock?

Wednesday evening greetings from Middletown, Ohio!  Yes, we're home after a very long travel day.  It all went smoothly and we're very tired.  Trying to stay up at least until it gets dark...

Thanks for all the travel vibes!

My question for ASK BK Day:

Would you consider appearing on a reality contest show if you were asked?

Hmmmm.....well, I wouldn't want to embarrass my family, so maybe not.

And Ahem.

Oh, and by the way, Ahem.

And did I mention Ahem?

Speaking of which, may I just say Ahem.

And just to reiterate, Ahem.

Oh, wait!:  Ahem!

And lest I forget (since you all seem to have  ;D ), Ahem.

Do you really need a reality TV show to do that, DR MBarnum?

LOL, DR JMK!

Now, if you had been more forthcoming in these posts as to who,  or what, he was then I might have taken notice, Although with this posting.......

"I have also been on a cha-cha kick (stop laughing), and am currently enjoying the rhythmic strains of Edmundo Ros doing a number of Hollywood and Broadway tunes you would never think could be converted to cha-chas.    There's also a fantastic Tommy Dorsey Orchestra cha-cha album from 1958 I have been loving."

....I have no excuse for not having discovered him right then and there....I can only say that I must have been out of town the day you made this post.

Ginny, just to bring you up to date:

Cason is in Arizona.

Edmundo Ros has been mentioned here prior to today.

I'm enjoying Caroline O'Connor's CD, which she autographed for me after Follies the other night.  And I see that our own DR elmore did the orchestrations for several songs!  I especially like her rendition of "What I Did for Love."

Oh, I fogot to mention that I discovered an old time western actor, who will remain nameless (except to JRand, who I already told), was (unbnownst to me) wanting to get into my knickers when I (and this old time western actor) were attending the Memphis Western festival a couple of years back.

One of my interviewees (who was also at that western festival) informed me of such when I visited him during my vacation.

I was flattered to find this out... and if that old time actor had still looked like he did back in the 1950s....well  ;D

Well if you like Pirates and Pirate movies - especially of the 50's movie matinee kind.....you might like Pirates of the Golden Age - which is a 4 movie DVD set.

Against All Flags - with Errol Flynn (1952 style)
Buccaneer's Girl - with Miss Yvonne DeCarlo
Yankee Buccaneer - with Jeff Chandler and Scott Brady
Double Crossbones - with Donald O'Connor

All in color from Universal-International.  The O'Connor picture and the DeCarlo one have musical numbers.

My favorite and the reason I bought the set is Yankee Buccaneer which used to be on television a lot.....an American Navy ship is disguised as a pirate ship to capture the real pirates.....Scott Brady is David Farragut and Chandler is the ship's captain.

Lots of fun....if you like Pirates who NOT Johnny Depp.

And it's less than $8 new at Amazon!

Personally, I prefer gladiator movies!
