I smoked from age 18 to age 32, I think it was. I had tried to quit oh so many times...but once it was the right time to quit it was easy-er!

Of course I fell off the wagon a couple of years ago, but I found that having just one cigarette really made me feel sick for 2 or 3 days...maybe I developed an allergy or something...so now I am done with smoking forever.  LOL!

By whom? The parents or the alleged kidnapper?

Baby Kidnapped After Woman Slashed Missouri Mom's Throat Found Alive and Well

Tuesday , September 19, 2006

UNION, Mo. — A family spokesperson says that little Abigale Woods has been found and is safe and well, FOX News has confirmed.

The news comes nearly a week after the infant was stolen when a suspect rushed into a rural Missouri home, told a young mother "I'm here to take your child," then slashed the mother's throat and left with her now nearly two-week-old baby.

The child's mother Stephanie Ochsenbine, 21, said she did not know her attacker, and is now doing fine following surgery.

The attacker had gained entry to the family's home last Friday afternoon by asking to use Ochsenbine's telephone. Ochsenbine's boyfriend, James Woods, who is Abby's father, was at work at the time, police said.

They fought after the woman told Ochsenbine "I'm here to take your child," and Ochsenbine was stabbed several times and her throat was slashed.

Ochsenbine's 1-year-old son, Connor, also was in the house but was unharmed.

Ochsenbine passed out and police aren't sure how long she was unconscious.

When she regained consciousness, she picked up Connor and went for help, trying two houses where no one was home before arriving at neighbor Pat Bearden's home.

"She was standing there with blood all over her and said 'Somebody stole my baby,'" said Pat Bearden, 69.

Hey, about the smoking... my mom gave birth 4 times - it was the smoking that killed her. Not a pretty death.

The alleged kidnapper. I'm guessing since it was a woman who stole a newborn, she posed as the child's mother after she kidnapped it. I could be wrong, but it wouldn't be the first time that's happened...actually I think it happened in Missouri one other time

We arrive around 3:00pm on Wed (4th) and leave Sunday Morning (8th). We'll be at the Milford Plaza.  I'll send you my cell phone number. Hope we can see you!

I expect so, at least on the 5th!

I watched THE CLASS also, but didn't care much for it. The actors seemed very over-actorish, I thought. They could turn it down just a bit.

Are you sure that it's not because your favorite Hollywood films are grade-D films with actors who have no idea what the word "emote" means?

DR Jose took me to dinner for my birthday.  Two margaritas and I'm ready to pass out.  I think I will set the VCR, tape the two LAW & ORDERs, and crash.

'Night!

Anyone who wants to quit smoking should NOT see Black Dahlia. There's so much smoking the screen practically catches on fire!

I just got a call from Marc Cherry (recorded) asking me to show up tomorrow morn for a Writers Guild Unity Rally. He sounded very chipper! I know I should go and support my fellow scribes, but I'm so incredibly uncomfortable in crowds of that type that I probably won't. I'll see how I feel in the morning.

They're marching and protesting in Hungary because the government lied to the nation. Imagine such a thing! The government lying to the nation! Good thing we live here and not in Eastern Europe!

RE smoking:  I grew up in a smoking household - both parents.  Fortunately my mother quit about 35 years ago and is still with us.  My dad continued, even after surgery to repair an aortal aneurysm, and died of heart disease in his mid-60s.  I attribute my compromised respiratory system and my proclivity to pneumonia to 18 years of second-hand smoke.  When I was doing a lot of community theater, I was afraid I'd get a part that called for smoking - someone would have had to teach me.  Never got such a part and have never smoked.

DR Edisaurus - this is my youngest.

Awwwww....looks like Bailey when he was a youngster!
My tux cat I had before my ancient one was Kunta Kittie----he looked exactly like yours-white chin and all! Lucky kitty who knew whose doorstep to land on! What's her name?

I see she's playing with one of those cat teasers. Something so cheap and simple---I wish I'd thought of inventing that. I'm sure they've sold millions of them!

Kunta Kitty, cute.  Ours was My Sin.  People kept saying she had the wild look of the black cat in the My Sin perfume commercials.
