Happy Catsgiving, DR Elmore!
I met get back to prepping my TDay dishes. I am bringing mashed taters and my sherry butter garlic mushrooms to dinner as well as wine, a chocolate cornucopia packed with fancy cookies and a mixed berry pie
I called Randy and Jo, who appear to be away from home. Since she's such a fantastic cook, I was sure dinner would be at their house.
I've been trying to log on since 7:30. About 20 minutes ago I was able to read the notes before it shut down again. I hope we are now back to part.
I am thankful to BE ALIVE!
Two years in a row, since moving here, we have had two invites for Thanksgiving. This year none, which is actually fine with us as we do not want to stuff ourselves. I do miss stuffing on Thanksgiving.
As a treat we will have macaroni and cheese.
I am thankful to BE ALIVE!
And I am grateful to know that you are still with us!

I just had to turn the heat on for the first time since last winter. I’m thankful that it’s working.

Thank you DR ELMORE, DR JANE, DR JOHN G, and DR TCB and ALL the folks here at HHW including of course our Fearless Leader MR BK for all the vibes and thoughts and prayers - a vital component in my getting through and recovery....
I finally got a good response from the company that host our site - we've been trouble-free for over eighteen months, but in the past three weeks we've had five or six episodes of down time - he's very unhappy about it and is going to meet with the data center on Monday to see why they're suddenly having issues.
Have fun DR ELMORE. Thanks DR JANE.
I blame DR JOSE for the outage this morning....DR JMK tried to take the blame on FaceBook, but I think we ALL know where it lies.....
On CNN, many of the correspondent seem to be skyping in from their homes today rather than being in a studio, or from wherever they're celebrating. Very interesting to see glimpses of the various homes.

Yesterday I purchased a small cup of Haagen Dazs ice cream to eat on the way home. It was delicious and I want more.
"a creamy blend of caramel ice cream and rich caramel swirls with the sweet crunch of chocolaty cone pieces to create a sweet, harmonious bite."

I am very grateful that 8 years ago today I had an excellent surgeon. I just wish the pain in my shoulder didn't keep reminding me of this fact ;D
Who's Pat Tay?
Am I on the wrong site? I thought I logged onto HHW.

She did some. The turkey was about to come out of the oven, but she shaped the rolls, mixed the corn casserole, and made the gravy. She ate with us, then I took her home to have dinner with her dad, sister, and grandma.
She had never had ham. She liked it, but really liked the dark meat turkey and stuffing and gravy.
We went to my brothers as per usual. Present were my Mom and Vixdad, my SIL,her parents and her sister and brother and her best friend, her husband and her 20 year old daughter

No one was sick this year?

I turned on the air conditioner. It was 84 in the house.

Not as overtly as usual but we still said no thank you to leftovers and are taking sambucol as a precautionary measure
I blame Jose for everything. And JMK. And everyone else who has left us. I blame them and I shame them and I Mame them.
Annabelle and Thatch are alive - no violence in my absence -and they seem to have enjoyed their dinner of duck and tuna.Duck and tuna sounds like a fine dinner to me.
John G., the roaster blew a fuse.
Just now, Annabelle jumped into the cage, pinned Thatch down and cleaned him. She wants a baby. I'm not sure he wants a mother.
Do you have a recipe for the baked pears?
Do you have a recipe for the baked pears?
I’ll ask. I think they were just halved and cored, then baked with a little butter on them.

I’m thankful the site is up and running.

I would love that. Trader Joe's has, under their own name, a mix of chocolate and vanilla (my favorite flavors) that has a swirl of caramel. To die for! I had been really good about staying away from sweets for about two years until I discovered this. Now I'm addicted.
