Twenty-five minutes left in I Am Curious Blue — and I want it to end. It’s good, but it’s just too long.

Do you have a recipe  for the baked pears?

I’ll ask. I think they were just halved and cored, then baked with a little butter on them.

I have never had baked pears but I like the idea of them

Back from a nice, cozy Thanksgiving meal at the  Pearl's.  I didn't overeat, I must say, not in my usual way.

Well I have a drive in the morning;  I must purchase gasoline for my automobile prior to the journey and I trust parking in Brooklyn on Black Friday will be hellish so I must get some sleep as I must make an early start

Finished Stranger Things 2 this afternoon.  Episode seven was one of the single worst waste of times ever - I guess it's a "thing" now to have one episode where all new characters show up for just that episode, never to be seen or heard from again - it was TERRIBLE.  And then the final two episodes were just typical wind-up - using every 80s cliche imaginable, from Spielberg, to Stephen King, to The Goonies, to John Carpenter and Brian de Palma, to John Hughes.  But then I saw a little interview with its creators and after seeing them you know exactly everything you need to know.

Yesterday I purchased a small cup of Haagen Dazs ice cream to eat on the way home.  It was delicious and I want more.

"a creamy blend of caramel ice cream and rich caramel swirls with the sweet crunch of chocolaty cone pieces to create a sweet, harmonious bite."

I would love that. Trader Joe's has, under their own name, a mix of chocolate and vanilla (my favorite flavors) that has a swirl of caramel. To die for! I had been really good about staying away from sweets for about two years until I discovered this. Now I'm addicted.

Those both sound sooooooo good!

Annabelle and Thatch are alive  - no violence in my absence -and they seem to have enjoyed their dinner of duck and tuna.

Nice!  I got some cat food with duck and some with tuna.  Neve hasn't really loved them.

Dinner at my parents' consisted of turkey, meatloaf (I've never liked turkey), vegan field roast (for my sister and niece), mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, au gratin potatoes, au gratin cauliflower (that's what my mom called it, although it seemed more like creamed cauliflower), stuffing, corn pudding, and for dessert, pumpkin cheesecake and coconut cream pie. :D

I'm sure that there was more, but I don't remember the rest.

We played two games of Phase 10.  Yet again, I lost both games. ::)
