My cousin just emailed me and she asked me if I remembered anything about a smallpox quarantine when our mothers were young. My grandfather had had smallpox, so he moved to his sister's house and ran errands and delivered groceries to my grandmother, who was stuck inside the house with the seven children.I don't remember ever hearing about that.
