There are not any A/C outlets on this bus, so I'm going to curb my iPhone use for the trip. I did bring my regular iPod with me, and I'm sure I'll be putting that to good use since everyone around me seems to be on their phones.

Hi all. I've spent most of the day with this new computer and printer, learning what they can and can not do so I can plan what software I'm going to have to replace.

One thing I like (and I'm not sure if it's this new board or my computer) is that when I make a typo, it underlines it in red and give me a spell checker. How cool is that?

A cloud cover has moved in which is a great surprise. A nice breeze, too, so I'm wondering if we are going to get any rain. It's not in the forecast, not that that matters.

I watched both of the bonus features on the CSI disc I had finished. One had to do with the episodes that concentrated on the background lab techs on the show (a comedy episode; one of my least favorites though they're all raving about what a great episode it was.)

The other was a dull 9-minute genuflection to director William Friedkin who came in to helm one of the episodes. His episode wasn't nearly as memorable as the episode Quentin Tarentino directed three years ago.

Then I watched Thursday night's SUPERNATURAL while I cooked and ate lunch. It was a fairly grisly episode this week, not the best one to be trying to eat lunch while watching. I managed to get through both OK (lunch and the show). The show was actually very effective. The lunch was tasty.

I think watched more CSI, a cutsy episode where everyone had colds while trying to investigate the crime. I really didn't understand why that decision was made other than to let three of the actors play people working with walking pneumonia.

I'm in the process of trying to figure out what is on all these videos I have. I taped pilot episodes of shows no longer on, ice-skating specials, things like the 1993 Oscars and all sorts of stuff since 1978 or so. It all seemed so terribly important at the time. My mother would do the same thing. She taped the entire Gulf War, I think. If she'd had a VCR in the early 70's she would have taped the entire Watergate hearings. A few years ago, they came out with 4 or 6 tape boxed set on Watergate which we gave her.

I would make cassettes for her, and she'd tape over them (debates, etc.)

At Madeleine, my favorite macaron was "fleur de sel caramel". Today I went to Starbucks and on the menu was a "salted caramel hot chocolate". So where did this salted caramel trend come from?

That's Pong alright. I remember when we got the first version. If you wanted to play another game you put a static picture on your tv and it was supposed to be a different game. of course it was the same thing, only harder to see

We had Atari. I got tired of my brother gloating when he beat me, so I stayed up all night one night practicing space invaders. I got so good at it no one would play with me, lol

I still have a nintendo around here somewhere. We were really into The Legend of Zelda. My sister-in-law did maps and that helped.

I liked Mario brothers and Frogger. I used to play trivia and poker at the bar.

Trying to decide if I want to do something tonight. I could go to Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf. A local group is putting it on. They've been in 3 different locations over the past 5 years and are now in a former retail building downtown. I think one of the founders of the group bought it because they are saying this move is permanent. I could also go to the Symphony or see a movie. hmmm. Or I could go through my clothes and decide which ones I am going to donate to Good Will. What to do....

This morning I went to the office, proofed my brief, made the 15 copies, bound them with a combinder (I think they are so cool) and sent them off to the court of appeals. I am so glad to get that done. It doesn't have to be mailed until Tuesday, but now we can get the week started without that deadline hanging over our heads. We are going to be open on Monday. The Feds have a holiday, but the State doesn't.

I liked Tetris and a game called Galaga. It was a space invaders type game and when I was on the road w/Sesame Street Live I would go to the mall and play the game in arcades. I became very, very good. Of course, I never played against anyone, but still, I left my initials on many a game console around the country in 1982.

This afternoon I walked for about a mile and a quarter. It included some very steep hills, so I figure that should count extra!

I really wanted to walk. Maybe this noon time powerwalking is making a difference
