Well, you've read the notes, time was on the side of the notes, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they'll be home in time.

Tonight, my sister and I are going up to Seattle to Dimitriou's Jazz Alley to see The Manhattan Transfer!  The Manhattan Transfer are performing there from Thursday (last night) until Sunday, and they're doing two sets each night.  We're going to stay for both and will have dinner in between the sets at the club. :D

We still have things to watch. We may finish the Farmer's Daughter (with Loretta Young and Joseph Cotten). We started last Saturday and got interrupted.

Oatmeal is calling me. Cranberries (dried), walnuts and cinnamon. Oh, and coffee.

Good morning, all!  I slept very well. The Oaf Above Me came home, as usual, right after I turned off the lights around 10:15, and that was the last I heard of him. I wish I could sleep so soundly every night.

Today is our last day of recording for this round: we have mezzo-soprano Rose Sullivan this morning followed by Valerian Ruminski. It should be a short day. I'm hoping we can get one of the piano pieces finished as well, but that depends on our pianist.

I have no plans beyond that. Once the recording is over, I'll head home, check the mail, probably turn on the tv and take a nap. I've got to do some research this afternoon and tomorrow for a meeting on Sunday about turning this set of "Apalachian Carols" into a stage piece. The director gave me a CD of four carols and I'd like to find more information on them or some alternate possibilities to present.

TOD:
DVD: last disc of BONES Season Five, a couple of operas. the three blasted Netflix items stil sit here
CD: bluegrass/folk Christmas music, Guy Haines, Liz Callaway, Barber of Seville
VCR: possible holiday gifts for DR MBarnum

Today is my long workday.  Oh well.

TOD:

DVD - Planet of the Vampires directed by Mario Bava and The Hurt Locker, very tense, but too long!

CD - A New Guy In Town, GLEE Rocky Horror Show songs - misguided, to be kind.

Very disappointed at the Pwoject Wunway wesult last night - with someone left out and two rather undeserving people left in....and the announcement of the guest judge - a reality show/recording "star" nobody - leaves me with no real desire to know the result....or at least to see the result.....next week I can find the result anywhere on the net.

The other night I woke up from a nightmare about the end of the world that kept me awake for a while--I definitely did not want to return to that dream...

Friday morning greetings!  I have a cardiac rehab session today and will then chill here at home and wait for my sister and her husband to pick up my car on their way to visit my mom for the weekend.  With 2 cars, my sister can take Mom on errands and my brother-in-law can go to the golf course.  Richard and I can get along with one car just fine for a day.
