Now that I'm moving, I plan to do very very very little today. I may listen to Dearest Enemy with my full score. I loved the cast and orchestra and wish I could record more with them, but those days are past. I'm happy with much of the recording, but the entire experience of those sessions and battling with a difficult musical director, who had been so wonderful on the Eileen recording, was an ordeal.
We got the free year of Disney Plus, compliments of our Verizon cell account, so later tonight I might sit me down and give Hamilton a spin.

Interesting. You might have mentioned that back then, not sure. Does that have anything to do with your subsequently getting Rob Berman for Roberta, or had that already been planned?
Oh, I'm up, I'm up - six-and-a-half hours of sleep. She of the Evil Eye is here so I'll go do stuff and return at noon.
Maybe the upstairs maid can fill in and make the tea for milady.
My dad's family moved to California when he was maybe six or seven. I don't think that he's ever been back.
T.O.D.
I don't recall ever having an "expensive meal".
I've dined at fine restaurants in Los Angeles and elsewhere, but the check was nothing that stood out.
Maybe if I drank alcohol...
DR Jane I think that you are right to be cautious with covid cases going up. There is no way that I would get on a plane right now. I like the idea of renting an RV.
If you went there now would you even be able to go into your son's home? If he doesn't have a yard then would you have to meet only at public places?
I am relieved that in Quebec (8 million people) the number of new cases for the last week have been between 65 and 90 per day. And thankfully most people are wearing masks in stores. But I'm still nervous going out (which I only started doing recently). Hopefully the numbers will go down where you are.
So at least I’ll understand what they’re saying
Usually the M80 nonsense starts by 8 am
How are they being enforced?
Where are you supposed to quarantine?
My sister was not featured on the news last night....nor were her photos.
The news people chose the most outrageous of the folks on each side to interview. It was NOT pretty.
TOD: The most expensive meal I have eaten was probably at the Blue Bayou in the Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland.
I had the jambalaya, which was way too spicy for me. Was it worth it? Probably not. But that was an item on my bucket list.
Sandra says the best part about the whole Disneyland trip was the look on Wae-Ling's face when the server poured her a refill of her mint julep. She emptied her drink a few times, and he poured her a cup to go, as well.
Today is Leonard's birthday. Well, we celebrate it on July 4. His Gotcha Day is early October, and he was about three months old then.
Well, I made a Texas ranch style of potato salad -- new potatoes with an oil-vinegar dressing when it's hot. Then you add celery, green onions, herbs, diced dill pickle and a mayo-mustard-sour cream dressing.
It has to cool off for a while.
Annabelle just threw up all over my bed. Oh joy!

Sounds delicious, DR JohnG!

Oh joy.
Mine has places for eight halves.

And two places on the floor.
What’s the Fourth of July without a little Schoenberg??

There was a huge fireworks explosion. Barnum jumped straight up in the air and lost about ten feathers!
SQUAWK!!!!!!!!!!!!
I asked Keith if he remembers the most expensive meal we have had. We have been unable to find the name of the restaurant or remember what we spent. It was in a little house, set back in a driveway, on an out of the way street when we lived in Michigan. Everyone kept telling us to go for our anniversary. Once inside the ambiance, food, & service were perfect. We enjoyed our special treat but never returned.
Taking a break from viewing and eating lox and bagel.

DR Jane, could that have been the Botsford Inn?
I did take a walk of a little less than an hour. It's sweltering out there.
DR VIXMOM is the cook off today?
I'm almost positive that my most expensive meals were those paid for on business expense accounts. So I don't have any prices to quote, but we sure ate in some great places.
DR Laura mentioned the Blue Bayou at Disneyland. I'll betcha my truly most expensive meal was the one had upstairs from there, in Club 33, on someone else's private membership. I know those memberships used to cost in the thousands per year, so it's probably billions now. An incredible experience, with acres of wonderful food to die for.
The scullery maid gets tomorrow off instead so she’ll get us our meals
Did you enjoy Hamilton, Vixmom?
I watched it on my iPad because we couldn't figure out how to download the app on the smart TV

I have tickets to Hamilton on tour. I guess I will see it then. I gave my ticket to Wae-Ling last year when it came through.
Hopefully it will be canceled here in town. I do not want to go into a large theater any time soon.
Well, since no one's ever had an expensive meal, let me start: Crustacean. Two people, no alcohol, 200 plus. And that was in 2003.
I actually met my neighbor across the street for the first time. He's lived there for maybe a half year. I haven't had time to go over and introduce myself. He seems nice. A retired man named Paul.
GREAT millstone coming up, vixmom. We must keep our eye on that.
But I couldn’t do captions on the iPad so some of the rap stuff I had trouble understanding but I got the gist of it
From DR George:QuoteMy dad's family moved to California when he was maybe six or seven. I don't think that he's ever been back.
Do you think he would have returned for a visit if you lived there for 5 1/2 years?
Wow George, congrats on winning yesterday.

I certainly would hope so!
I find this funny considering what is going on these days.
Statue of George III being toppled on 9th July in New York. 1776.

Annabelle just threw up all over my bed. Oh joy!
In Japan he met a local for business at the hotel. Two drinks, a few chips and dip was $100.

American?!?! :o
I dozed off for an entire hour.
I got an hour into The Searchers and the disc is apparently defective. I can't get it to play after a certain point.
I took my hearing aids out and the fireworks stopped 😊
So I suspect I’ll hate it,
But if it’s playing in the teevee machine I suspect I’ll be able to use captions
I'm in discussions for one more guest, but I can see it might be more trouble than it's worth.

Dearest George, are you almost finished with the book???

A friend gave me one of these Polish deviled egg dishes a couple of years ago, jane. Mine holds only four eggs, which is much more manageable than the one for a dozen that Mom passed on to me. Mine's a little different. It has a bird in the middle instead of a bunny. But it has prompted me to make deviled eggs a little more often than I used to. I try new variations when i can. Today's had no pickle in it. But it has Worcestershire sauce, vinegar and Old Bay seasoning for a little kick.

George must be writing his review :) It would be most appreciated.
