I had the papa's eggs - very calorie-friendly and very yummilicious - no toast, no potatoes - just some mediocre fruit.

Here we fill out a form that asks if you are allergic to eggs (how appropriate today) and if you are you can't get the shot.  I'm not sure if there is anything else that might cause an immediate reaction.

Here they also ask if you are allergic to latex.

Forgot to mention that just as I was finishing my jog I ran into my pal Ed Begley, who was riding his bike down my street - we had a nice chat.

I hope neither of you were hurt!  And that his bike was undamaged, of course.

And speaking of Li'l Abner, I wonder why bk never recorded the Swedish version of "If I Had My Druthers"?

It's never too late...maybe on the next Guy Haines CD. ;)

MATT H and JMK

What,in your valued opinions, are the 5 Best Blu-Ray Titles to Buy to show off the new format?

Picture Quality:

THE FIFTH ELEMENT, KINGDOM OF HEAVEN, CASINO ROYALE, DREAMGIRLS,  RATATOUILLE.

(Lots of other people would select BLADE RUNNER, TRANSFORMERS, SPEED RACER, THE LAST SAMAURI, but there are many choices.)

HD Sound:

BATMAN BEGINS, PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN (any or all 3), CASINO ROYALE, CARS, CHICAGO.

I finally finished HAWAII FIVE-O watching two episodes before I went to lunch and one when I returned. There was a nice variation on TWELVE ANGRY MEN and I enjoyed Simon Oakland and a very young Erik Estrada in another episode.

Next, I finished last night's BROTHERS & SISTERS. I was glad the resident did not change her mind about giving Kitty and Robert her baby. That would have been the predictable thing to do. This had a bit of a surprise. They are making Holly back into the snake she was during season one.

And I ended my afternoon watching about half of the season finale of MAD MEN. Glad the encoding problems seem to have been straightened out. It played just fine. I have about 20 minutes more to watch which I'll start on when I go back down later today.

No doubt the world will be relieved to know that my PC has made friends with a new printer and they seem to have no problem communicating.  Of course the replaced printer had just had it's ink cartridges replaced before it died - and the model is no longer in production and the cartridges are not used in the new one (or alternatives available).  The replaced printer was probably four years old and worked hard - my expectations are of course unrealistic.

There was an Australian comedy (sic) movie here a couple of years ago - "Bad Eggs".

Don't go there!

Back from lunch at Tazza Mia with my friend Becky.  Now, I'm watching Oprah chat with Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman about their new movie, Australia.

The list of side effects was sort of scary though.

It is rather disconcerting.

Here we fill out a form that asks if you are allergic to eggs (how appropriate today) and if you are you can't get the shot.  I'm not sure if there is anything else that might cause an immediate reaction.

After complaining for years I add to wait at the allergist office & then experiencing a severe reaction, I would say the wait 15 minute policy is a good one.

They do ask if you are allergic to eggs. But since the shot is different this year, they say that even if you didn't have a reaction in other years you still could have one this year.

They really do their job here though. i mean besides the pamphlet and the stern discussion they did strongly state that i had to wait the 15 minutes. Because obviously if you are driving and you go into shock it would be very bad.

The first I heard of Australia (the movie, not the country/continent) was when Russell Crowe was insisting on being paid more money to play the part that instead went to Jackman.

Who is much better looking, imo, even when he has his shirt on.

I'll gladly overlook Kidman to look on him!   :D

I just finished an interesting book called Bringing home the birkin (michael tonello). I'm guessing a lot of people here would find it very amusing. It's sort of different for me (since it's non-fiction). But it was very funny.

Next I am going to start Shoe Addicts Anonymous. It's sort of odd because i've already read the sequel (the library got the 2nd one first). Although apparently only one character is the same.

When i finish that i have One Fifth Avenue (Candace Bushnell's new book).

And then Attack of the Theatre people (marc acito).

And I believe the library also has (for me) Nicolas Sparks new book (or one of them), The lucky one.

Has anyone read any of these?

I was not sure where they were headed re: the adoption. I agree, what they did was less predictable. I wonder if that will be the end of it. I mean it was interesting finding out the woman was a) black/korean with the baby's daddy white. And b) that she was not young and c) a doctor.

I just did not see any of that coming. And then for her to take back the baby. IT seemed cruel. So i will be interested to see what will happen. I really would like kitty/robert to get a baby.
