SOMETIMES I STAND IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FLOOR
« on: July 11, 2012, 11:58:11 PM »

Well, you've read the notes, the notes stood in the middle of the floor - not going left, not going right, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're currently standing in the middle of the floor singing MOOsing My Mind.

Do check out the audio samples.  Even thought they're compressed mp3s you'll get the idea.

Tough to choose just one Sondheim lyric. They are all brilliant.

One of my favorite lines of Sondheim's is:

In the depths of her interior
Were fears she was inferior
And something even eerier
But no one dared to query 'er
Superior exterior

From the London Follies.

From Pacific Overtures:

Have some tea, my Lord,
Some chrysanthemum tea.
It's a tangled situation,
As your father would agree.
And it mightn't be so tangled
If you hadn't had him strangled —
But I fear that I stray, my Lord.
I've a nagging suspicion
That, in view of your condition,
What we should do is pray, my Lord …

and:

In the tea, my Lord,
The chrysanthemum tea —
An informal variation
On the normal recipe.

I better stop, or I will end up making over 100 posts just on the TOD.
Will leave it to others, and look forward to hearing their choices.

Morning all!  I as very tired last night.  One of the meds I was taking said it could make you drowsy well, it sure did.

Think I figured out what caused it--the shake called Glucerna.  I thought it would be good for me because of the diabetes but when I read up on it last night, it is know to cause hives, horrible gas, stomach pains, diarrhea and swellings.  I guess I was lucky I got away with what I did.  Needless to say, I will NOT be drinking it any more!

Happy, Happy, Happy Birthday to our Dear Cilla!!!!!!

Vibes to all and have a wonderful day!

Good morning, all! Another bad night of sleep, but I have forgotten all of last night's dreams in the past 30 minutes since I awoke. This morning at 9:30 I get my hair cut, then I head back here to see what fresh hell has erupted. Then, sometimebetween 2 and 5, the Time Warner man is going to show up and install my new modem with Wi-Fi and bring me a DVR, which terrifies me.

On my way to the barber and back, I will do the schedule for the three days of recording in Dublin. I think I can get the chorus down to four sessions. On the office frony, it looks as if dates are now set to move the Packard Humanities Institute out and to move my new office in.  Yesterday was a pretty good day.   Now, if I could only get good news from NYU and Columbia about interns!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Good Surgery Vibes for the brother of DR cillaliz! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
