Oh and Jason... I love the decorations.... I am particularly fond of that asymetrical star!

1:09 AM  EST and the transist talks go on... no word yet if there will be a full scale strike but I just can't wait up any more to find out...nighty night!

Keep those anti transist strike vibes acoming!!

According to THIS on cnn.com, "NYC transit strike begins with 2 commuter lines."  It says:

NEW YORK (AP) -- Commuters who depend on two private bus lines were forced to find their own way home after drivers walked off the job early Monday, a predicament that could soon paralyze the entire city if the transit strike widens.

That sounds like a private company's employees jumping the strike and being butt cheeks - and they should be fired for doing so, since the strike was, at least at that point, not official.  Haven't heard if it is or isn't, but those two drivers should receive no Christmas presents this year.

Rehearsal was a little low energy tonight, but that's because they had three days off - some good things, and we did some extensive work on the end of act one.

A lull. ::)

I keep forgetting that I'm still logged in.  Sorry.

Here's a bit of useless news:  today, as I was driving back to work from lunch, my car (a 1998 Ford Escort) rolled over 96,000!

Just had to share. ;)

BK, it's fun hearing about how your rehearsals are going.  I haven't been in a show for more than three years.  I keep telling myself that I should audition for things, but then I don't.  My bad.

I know that this is not your case, but I've been in shows that had horrible directors (tyrants, even) but I still enjoyed the whole theatrical experience.  I love rehearsing and learning lines (although, I have to admit that I do take longer than I should) and getting to know the people in the cast and crew.  It's all just a lot of fun... but I've never made a career out of it.  I don't know how well I could do in any kind of extended run. ::)

So here's a question about professionals learing lines.  Is there a contractually obligated time limit or a fine if lines aren't learned on time?  I know rehearsals are always limited and actors have to learn their lines, but what happens if professional actors don't?

And in yesterday's posts, I can quote THIS message! ;)

I thought I'd post in this old thread just to be last in line (unless someone else follows my lead).
