And the word of the day is: NESCIENT!
Health and property vibes to DR ELMORE.
Do you want a ST Joseph charm?
Oh -- thank you for the critter pictures yesterday, DerBrucer. I always enjoy your critter pictures.
Oh I'm just a little ahead of you...I'm slogging through the espionage stuff. I don't find that especially interesting.
I have no idea what constitutes (or re-constitutes) a good blender.
Any thoughts from you cooks out there?
DR Laura I can't imagine why a ban on lighting a fire in the fireplace
is need at this time of year. ;) ;D
i'm joking about where laura lives :)
Ah---it does grow up north. See if this sounds familiar:

I like this tree when it's under control.
I like this tree when it's under control.
Well these trees are certainly not under control! (But I do enjoy the large leafy foliage and this is the first year it flowered.)
Yes, it's amazing how huge the leaves are when they're young. I think they get smaller as the plant ages.
Good luck with it!

Bruce Kimmel, as one light began to dim, he reached into his imagination and screwed another one in its place.
...as you can imagine he has very few straight friends.
So Bruce, when you read this, and I know you will… please be kind
Nobody read the review?
...at least my throat doesn't hurt as much today.
Elmore, is the property even listed for sale?
LADY OF LEISURE - that's the name of...
Hey, where did five people go?
Dang, I just traced the National Parks DVD's I ordered for my dad and it says it delivered...the day we left. The housesitter would have brought it in when she came, but it's not here, so what is my recourse now, since it's my word against theirs?
Nobody read the review? Too busy talking about plants? Wow. Just back from the Apple Store - when I talked to them about returning my newly-bought phone to replace with the 4G they said if I came in about noon there shouldn't be too long a wait. And I suppose they're right, if six hours isn't considered too long a wait. Unbelievable. I told them I'd be back tomorrow, and that if they were out of them that they'd have to do the return, activate my old 3G, and then when they get them back in I'll get it then. Six hours. It is to laugh. And the line started at five this morning.
I don't see a way to trace it from USPS to find out where it was delivered, it just says it was delivered to my zip code.
Thursday morning greetings! Well, Synod Days are here and we're about to head to Lima. Richard's leaving first, I'll go to a retirement reception and come back for Rob and we'll be about 2 hours behind Richard. I will be E & T for the next couple of days, but will check in in the evenings.

It now appears they want to have sex:
They are growing huge clusters of green sticky skinned hard fleshy fruits.
I hope they are not alien pod-babies.

I was surprised I didn't slog through any of the book and enjoyed every bit of it. I would have to read them both again to confirm my opinion book two is the best.

VIBES TO DR ELMORE~~~~~~~~MAY YOU SELL THE PROPERTY AND LIVE LONG AND PROSPER

If your brothers won't allow a realtor, how the Hell do they expect the property to sell?
DR Elmore could you put an ad in the local paper or the nearest city paper advertising the property for sale?
Another scorcher in the DC area--I think it hit 97 degrees today.
I do have gin, though. And some rum.
Nice review, BK!

A gin rummy?
I have been playing with kittens most of the day.
The best news is I got the City Council Agenda for Monday's meeting. In addition to reconsidering the Vicious Animal Ordinance...I am being appointed to the Historic Preservation Commission for a three year term. It will be official and I'm really pleased

contact the seller and ask them to what address it was shipped.
That's because people who volunteer to be on boards are very hard to find, Cillaliz.

I'm just glad I found someone to do the work so my preservationist friends will leave me alone about it. They were right, I needed to save the windows, but I didn't expect the peer pressure about windows lol

I tried to be gentle...
Reglazing will give you good street cred with the preservationists. Congratulations on your win-win situation. And if they run out of work, would they like to come to Atlanta?
Vibes that they treat preservation commissioners with more respect than they do in Marietta, GA!Thanks! It's still an advisory commission, so they treat them ok, just don't listen.
Greetings from the west side of beautiful Lima, OH! All but 2 of the synod registrants are here and we knew one of those wouldn't arrive until tomorrow morning. We have a few "surprise" guests, but we were prepared for that. The biggest news is that the stained glass window over the altar was installed yesterday and it's stunning. Tonight's service and "Savory and Sweets Meet and Greet" was a huge success. After a little wine gathering in the common area of the hotel, we have now crashed to get ready for a really l-o-o-o-o-ong day tomorrow.
Cilla - please take pictures of your windows

I have 12 speed Osterizer - it probably cost $20, 20 years ago when I bought it - I use it nearly every day and its not a kitchen aid - but do you need a $100 + blender?

In keeping with my new budget, I went to Walmart and got an Osterizer for 40 bucks. Should do the trick for awhile...
Thanks!
I keep forgetting to refresh and I am sitting hre waiting for someone to post ///duh

not a rock n roll person
The lady who's helping with publicity tried to get me on something called The Joy Behar Show - as it turns out Joy is a huge Nudie Musical fan, and know my work well. However, they won't book me because I don't fit into their very narrow demographic. Oh, well.

Didn't Joy Behar used to be on that Barbara Walters womens group chat show thingy?
