And the word of the day is: NIMIETY!
Your stunt c**k is here.
It's worse than I thought.
Janet Allen of the IRT has lost her mind.

After seeing Betty White sitting in the audience last night, I realized why they called it the SAG Award.
I will have last night's CASTLE episode to watch while I eat lunch.
The only speech I'm interested in hearing from the SAG awards is Jane Lynch's acceptance for the GLEE cast (and to see the very cute cast together and thrilled with their success). So, I'll be able to delete that from the DVR relatively quickly.
Most everything is in repeat mode tonight on TV. Yes, NBC is showing exhibition performances from the national championships, CBS has a line-up of reruns from its popular crime drama catalog. ABC has expanded Extreme Makeover to two hours and pushed the DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES rerun back to 10.
Of course, there are some new shows on cable including a new BIG LOVE on HBO.
But basically, the pickins are slim tonight if you're not a sports fan.
Back from Xeroxing, delivering, and a sandwich, and am more than a little nauseated that we are still on page two.
Most everything is in repeat mode tonight on TV. Yes, N
But if you're a Jane Austen fan, the new version of "Emma" starts tonight on PBS' "Masterpiece Theatre", er, I mean "Masterpiece Classic".
Muse Margaret gave me a nice piece of chocolate cake so I'm eating that now and then will try to write at least five pages.
From the NY Times "Fashion & Style" section:

Hmmm...
Emma Samms was such a poor substitute for Pamela.....I didn't mind Jack coming in for Al Corley (after awhile) - but the most insufferable character for me was Pamela Bellwood's.

And I love that Cory Monteith ("Finn" - a.k.a. @frankenteen (http://twitter.com/frankenteen)), posted this PIC (http://twitpic.com/zibnm) last night after he got home from the awards. ;)

*There's even a "Bachelors of Highbury" Quiz (http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/masterpiece/) you can take on their website!

I'm at home watching TV...I've got a lot to catch up on. The first two episodes of "Human Target," two episodes of "The Bonnie Hunt Show" and the last three episodes of "Fringe." I am also recording "Live From Lincoln Center: Joshua Bell with Friends @ The Penthouse."
And that will be my day. :)
When I was waiting for lunch to cool, I scanned quickly through the SAG awards to listen to Jane Lynch's acceptance speech for the GLEE cast. What a classy lady and a great, down-to-earth speech. Loved it.
I just spent 5 hours in the emergency room, which was fun.
Chest pains.
Thankfully, it was not my heart. The doctor thinks it's gastroesophageal reflux disease, so he's referred me to a gastroenterologist and, just to be safe, a cardiologist.
:(
DR Cillaliz - you should go to Austin. I've been in a real reconnecting mood lately.

So DRJMK you are practically related to Nancy Drew....the New!
Thanks for the condolences. I went to 4 meetings a year with NACDL for probably 8 years. I got to know a lot of people very well. I pretty much stopped going a couple years ago, maybe one a year and I don't really spend time with the group. Jack passing makes me think about the friends I really miss. I think I'll look into going to the Austin meeting in February. I had decided not to, but there will be a tribute to Jack and I'd like to go to that. I need to check on plane fares, hotel rooms etc, but I'm, thinking about it seriously

Oy, between me, DB and you, this is turning into the ER site.

Wait....I've been blaming Jose for nothing? ;D
DR Druxy acid reflux can be extremely painful, i hope it was a one time thing, and am very, very happy it wasn't a heart attack.
Oh....COLTS won! AFC Champions, going to the Super Bowl.
Just so you know.
And I guess the fact that DH has a lot of family in Indiana.
We just learned that our local symphony orchestra honored Richard's brother John last night and didn't even bother to notify his wife that it was being done. I'm sure some of us would have made the effort to be there if we'd known.

Everyone thought it was someone else's job, I'm sure.

Maybe this is why NO body ever wears a hat anymore. It's certainly a good argument against them.
I went to Gelson's to get a snack. Bought some cucumber roll and some cantaloupe and pineapple slices. I had two little pieces of the cucumber roll. After the first I thought that it didn't taste right - after the second I knew something was wrong - don't know what it is but somehow it was rotten - I hope I didn't eat enough to get sick.
Today was the quarterly congregational meeting, which I didn't need to attend, since I'm not the minute-taker any more. Huzzah!

You're too kind, DR JRand. It's just tacky, tacky, tacky.

For those DRs in NYC who may be looking to stock up on some books, Skyline Books in Chelsea - across the street from Academy Records on 18th Street - is closing at the end of this week/month. They're discounting all books 75%-off starting today. And so close to City Bakery!
Travel vibes to DR Edi!
