The princess wakes me up for her treat, a bit of canned food that she sometimes doesn't even eat. She does this, I think to garner favor from the Queen, who wouldn't lower herself to actually ask for anything. She will not stop unitl I get up, and has some of the most annoying ways of making that happen. But she's so cute that I can't even get mad at her.

Cute cat and story.

Even funnier but true department:  just had a short-lived gig at a little restaurant that wanted to try live music.  Usually you get booted from these gigs because nobody comes and it doesn't pay for them to have music.  Well, guess what?  This place cancelled after two weeks because too many people were coming and no one on staff wanted to stay later than 9 p.m.  Can you believe it?

Sorry you were canceled, great story though.  :D

Does "C'est La Vie" sung by Robbie Neville count as a French song?

DR elmore, I’m sorry to say I could not watch the video of DG Charlotte.

Did everyone have to follow the directions to open the video?  I’m hesitant to add anything new without check with my computer expert first.

TCB:  I can't for the life of me recall the brand/model of my unit, but it looks much like the unit below.

I am NOT disappointed, thus far

Thanks, Ron.

So, BK, not a peep about my idea for College Kritzer.  Somehow I would think you'd have a marvelous time hysterically describing Benjamin's first fumbling attempts at sex.  Instead of KRIZERLAND, you could entitle it KRITZERLAID.

There's another Michel I adore--Michel Colombier.  BK probably knows him as a film composer, but he was a fantastic arranger first, starting out in musique concrete with Pierre Henry, then moving into pop for Petula Clark and then for Lani Hall and even later Flora Purim, and he wrote the magnficient jazz rock pseudo-oratorio Wings for A&M Records.  He sadly passed away at a young age (late 50s IIRC) a couple of years ago from cancer.

In reality tv land, it was fun to see a well-produced, well-paced treat for a change--the new season of Last Comic Standing.  Does anybody know why Jay Mohr is no longer hosting?  That idiot sitcom actor from last year is gone, thank heavens.

I have to head down now and clean the bedroom areas before I can start back with evening viewing. Due to my guest this morning, I wasn't able to get the bedrooms cleaned before he arrived.

While at the pet store today I saw a cute, semi-reasonably priced toy & offered it to Sherlock.  As usual he didn’t want the reasonably priced toy but picked up an expensive one.  I tell you, that dog has expensive tastes in toys.  He was so cute holding the big stuffed monkey with long floppy arms I couldn’t resist buying it for him.   Fortunately Keith didn’t notice the price tag until it was too late.  Sherlock had already carried it around the store, squishing it the entire time so it would make loud noises.

I think "Wings" only sold one copy in australia - mine. A couple of the tracks ended up on the Best of Lani Hall. Not even that is available on Cd.  Sad.

Jacques Brel was not French.

I listed Mr Aznavour.  I guess he was French by citizenship. (Was he born in Algeria?)

Yes, an accusation he and Hercule Poirot must contend with at all times.

The TOD reminded me that I had never purchased the orchestral version of Milhaud's Le Boeuf Sur le Toit on CD. When I went to look for it, lo! I discovered there was a 2 piano version! Can anyone recommend a recording of this?

Tom of Oz, I am curious if you recall a musician/singer by the name of Chet Clark, aka Chet Demilo, aka Peter Clark? He worked in Australian TV in made recordings in the late 50s and early 60s. He hosted a TV show called 6 O'CLOCK ROCK
