Well, you've read the notes, the notes had allergies and a teaser trailer, and now it is time for you to post until the allergic cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: STAIRWAY!
-
And now - Dino at the piano.
-
~~~Continued Vibes for a HUGE Major Miracle for BK!!~~~
-
Good morning, friends.
-
Very glad to read that Nancy Drew solved the case of The Missing Remote.
-
~~~MOST EXCELLENT AND URGENT MAJOR MIRACLE VIBES~~~ for the likes of BK!!!!!!
-
Glad that the family Rodzinski has arrived safely. Are the waters turquoise?
-
~~~CONTINUED VIBES OF CARE AND COMFORT~~~ for DR DR Iris.
-
I keep watching (and enjoying) the Sami trailer. The pie sound effect is a great enhancement.
-
Is the underscoring music the melody of the series theme song?
-
Speaking of potatoes...
BK, have you ever been to The Baked Potato Jazz Club in Studio City?
-
Good morning, all!
-
It looks like the forecast for DR ChasSmith has been revised from 18 inches of the white stuff to between 1 and 3 inches.
-
We ourselves are expecting between 3 and 6 tomorrow.
-
Also speaking of potatoes, here's one section of the menu from The Spunky Spud, located in Tennessee:
-
I slept well until 3:30 or so when three cold kitties took over my bed.
-
I have an Amazon Fresh delivery this morning and a zoom meeting about the ballet at 1:00. I'm hoping to finish No. 7 at some point today.
-
Slept two hours. Going back to bed, but I'm beginning to think this may just be an old-fashioned cold although the symptoms really are allergy-like. I'm gonna get some Ny-Quil when I'm up for good.
-
Yes, the music in the teaser trailer is the theme music of the show. When I got the idea for this ten months ago I literally went to the piano and wrote the theme. I've never questioned whether it was right or not, never felt like trying another because for me it captured the character and feel of what I was about to write. I came up with a bunch of variations we use as underscore or transition music and then Richard Allen orchestrated all of that.
-
Great!
-
And, BK, ~~~FEEL BETTER SOON PRONTO VIBES~~~
-
I was in the Baked Potato only once and not for a performance. I was there when we were going to do a Nancy Sinatra B'way album, watching her rehearse with her Wrecking Crew band for a show she was going to do. That was memorable. Carol Kaye on bass, Hal Blaine on drums, Don Randi on piano, and I'm thinking maybe Barney Kessel on guitar, but can't be sure. This would have been either 1998 or1999 but probably 98.
-
And speaking of potatoes,,, (is this a rabbit hole?)
Here is the menu at The Baked Potato Jazz Club in Studio City:
I am a mass of phlegm - thinking about taking a Mucinex-D.
-
I enjoyed the Sami sizzle
-
Looking forward to seeing it
I think I need to get my thyroid levels checked, I’m tired all of the time
~~~FEELING BETTER VIBES~~~ for DR vixmom, as well!!!!
-
Of course, the fact that you do ten times the amount of activity of a normal human being might have something to do with it.
-
"Sizzle" just makes me think of bacon.
-
Which isn't unpleasant.
-
Continuing with my potato theme:
Just came across a recipe for Instant Pot cauliflower puree, which they claim is virtually indistinguishable from mashed potatoes.
-
Many people don't realize that in its initial draft, Finian's Rainbow was set in French Polynesia.
The original song title was, "How are things in Bora Bora?"
-
Good morning, all.
-
The Baked Potato menu did nothing for me. I’m sorry.
-
Guess I'll try for more sleep. I need it. Took a Mucinex-D, twelve-hour version.
-
Miracle vibes for BK.
-
I think I'll still get some Ny-Quil later.
-
Sleep vibes too.
-
Last scheduled pt session today.
-
I wonder if they’ll want more.

TOD:
Around the time I moved from Sarasota to San Antonio, there was an ongoing murder case involving guys from San Antonio who went to Sarasota to kill a mom. It was quite gruesome and captured in all its gory glory by Ann Rule in Every Breath You Take.

I don’t think I knew that Lea Michele was the original girl in Ragtime.
-
Speaking of which, a local theater is staging Ragtime now. I hope I can catch a performance.
-
I loved the trailer and the theme.
-
What kind of pie shall I have today?
-
I didn’t have the time to bake one.
-
But blueberry pie sounds great.
-
Or maybe cherry.
-
I’ve read recently about Texas Trash Pie. Sounds delicious.

-
Hello, 1 guest!
-
I guess I had a milestone post this week.
-
Coma with a Crust sounds like a great title for something-or-other.
-
DR John G., congratulations on your lofty new perch in the HHW firmament!
-
Not to be confused with Comma with a Crust.
-
Which is a different story entirely.
-
Cole Porter provided the theme song for the day.

-
Which is a different story entirely.
Indubitably
-
Good morning, all.

We got an extraordinary reprieve here. It could have turned to snow overnight, but I woke up to just a quarter inch or so of slush. It's snowing now, but still not sticking to the roads. However, not all that far from here, they have a foot. Depends on elevation. We'll get ours later, but, as noted, it should only be a few inches. Well, we shall hope.
-
Anyhoo, it's a day for getting Addams back into my fingers.
-
Good morning!
-
Looking forward to "Sami"

Feeling better vibes for MR BK.
-
Bora Bora vibes vibes for DR RODZINSKI & Co.
-
My cousin is under the weather today so we are postponing until she returns from Florida.....they are leaving for said state on Friday.
-
TOD:
The Lindbergh Kidnapping.....I read a couple of books about it when I was in high school and there was a tv movie....
Most recently the Murdaugh case from South Carolina...an interesting documentary.
I read IN COLD BLOOD and there was a book about the murders committed by Caril Fugate and her boyfriend.
There was also a very scary book about the Moors murders in England.
-
In Cold Blood would probably have been my first ever exposure to a "true crime" book and movie.
A huge one for me later was the Manson murders, which I really got into after moving to L.A. and reading Bugliosi's book. That even ties into yesterday's TOD about locations, because I was then compelled to drive up to the end of Cielo Drive just to see the locked up gate (you couldn't see the house from there). (And this was some five years after the events.)
-
No traffic this morning. Got to pt early.
-
Started listening to EGOT winner Viola Davis reading her memoir, Finding Me. It’s pretty good so far.
-
Glad that the family Rodzinski has arrived safely. Are the waters turquoise?
So very turquoise!
-
Thanks all for the vibes! And DR Iris, I shall try that fish dish.
-
Sami trailer is fire, as the kids say.
-
It’s off the chain, as the youths say.
-
“A Boatful of Ordinary Canadian Actors” shall be my next band name.
-

One was exhibited as a talking fish.
The other was served on a chafing dish.
That’s for all you Brothers Four fanatics out there.
-
Brothers Page Four!
What are the chances?
-
Page Foura from Bora Bora
-
Amazon Fresh arrived and was put away. I then finished No. 7, and I'm waiting for our Zoom meeting.
-
On the plane I watched half of a documentary called Val, about Val Kilmer. Def an interesting cat.
Val Kilmer IS Moses, as we all know.
-
Glad that the family Rodzinski has arrived safely. Are the waters turquoise?
So very turquoise!
So you’re floating in turquoise ink. (A Jerry Herman reference.)

Hold tight!
Fododo-de-yaka saki.
Or however you spell it.
-
I ordered a slice of coconut cream pie. They gave me banana cream instead. It was only good. Not great.
-
I do have a slice of buttermilk chess pie for later.
-
Gratuitous post 99!
-
Does chicken pot pie count for Pi Day?
-
I just saw a blurb for a murder mystery set in a winery. It's called The Wrath of Grapes. :)
-
When is it appropriate to pronounce it CALIH-FOR-NIGH-AYE?
-
Asking for a friend.

My 90-year old aunt fell at home last night and dislocated her hip. She had to have surgery to have it re-set, but fortunately didn't break anything. She is deeply unhappy about being in the hospital. I am thankful that it wasn't worse.

Continuing with my potato theme:

-
When i was in 9th grade I was assigned a report on In Cold Blood. Later that same teacher assigned me a paper on "Helter Skelter"
What was she thinking?
-
I dont read or watch any true crime books, films or shows
-
I'm up again - I think I got a total of almost eight hours. Very congested, phlegm galore, but if I can keep the allergy thing at bay I think it's just a matter of getting the guck out.
-
Some of this has to do with being run down from lack of sleep.
-
From DR TCB:
The taxi driver took me to the head of the alley, and pointed, "down there."
:o
We walked to it a couple of times from our hotel.
-
Rome was crowded, and my eyes were focused on avoiding people while looking at all the beautiful buildings.
-
DR Rodzinsky, Everything Everywhere.... is not a film to watch on a plane with all of the distractions. I wonder if you would have liked it in a better environment.
-
I used to have to watch movies on airplanes to stay focused and help reduce air sickness. I came to the conclusion it is best not to watch movies while flying, especially now that you are watching on a little screen in front of you.
-
I am so very grateful I can now read while flying.
-
DR Jeanne, I am glad your banking nightmare was fixed. I hope you find a better bank.
-
Jeanne, it was nice you were able to have that conversation with your father. I hope it has given you comfort.
-
From DR Iris:
These HHW caring vibes feel like a great big hug.
Thank all of you so much for helping me cope during this sad and scary time. ❤️
Sending more hugs and vibes. It is a hard journey you are on.

That is permitted in Japan ;) We have packed some Musinex, just in case.

That is a good idea. I think you also need to cut back on your activities for awhile and rest more.

We got an extraordinary reprieve here. It could have turned to snow overnight, but I woke up to just a quarter inch or so of slush. It's snowing now, but still not sticking to the roads. Lea Michele, prior to Ragtime, appeared on one of my albums in a chorus of kids.
-
On the plane I watched half of a documentary called Val, about Val Kilmer. Def an interesting cat.
To me that is much better than watching a movie.
-
Shaved. Had a Sambucol. Abou to take a Claritin-D and some Airborne, then I have to Zoom.
-
It does feel like the phlegm is breaking up, so that's good. And all the scratchy throat stuff seems to have pretty much gone.

-
I still remember seeing In Cold Blood when it first came out. I then read the book. I would say it is still my top pick for a true crime film.
-
I read a long article in a magazine about the Boston Strangler though I am not sure if I saw the film. I recall being fascinated by the fact Tony Curtis was the strangler.
-
If they ever get around to making the mini series, Devil in the White City, I will watch it.
-
I'm am going to eat a cheeseburger that I made.......
-
Mac & Cheese with chicken and asparagus from Granville - very good. Wanted to nap but I have to digest first.

Transferring some music to the computer including the JAY recording of 110 in the Shade. Been reading through the booklet. At the back is a group photo of the folks who made it happen. There’s a face I recognize, one Larry Moore. Very nice surprise.
-
So, Karen Staitman says her uploads are taking over ninety minutes. She asked me to try doing one so I tried episode four and could instantly see it was going to take at least ninety minutes. So, I called Spectrum and asked why such slow speeds since I'm paying for high speed Internet. Apparently, they gave me the lowest tier. The middle tier is twenty more but the upload speed doubles, so I took that, they sent the new data to the modem. I had to unplug both modem and router, plug the modem back in and let it do its thing, and then plug the router. Once that was done, I started over on episode four and it took fifty minutes, which is MUCH better. There was one more tier but I didn't want to pay forty bucks more and my modem doesn't handle that load so I'd have to get a new modem. I'll be fine with the middle tier and I must say things in general on the Internet are moving much faster. So, when five is done I'll do six and then ten because that's the longest episode. That will leave three, seven, and eight for her - all the others are done.
-
By tomorrow everything will be uploaded, we'll double check everything, and then "submit" and hopefully that won't be too laborious a thing.
-
I love internet providers. As much as I love yogurt.
-
Gratuitous post 200!
-
As soon as five is finished uploading, I'll do a quick CVS run for Ny-Quil and Claritin-D.
-
Look at that, I'm about to achieve a nice big number.

Big.
-
I hope someone can capture it.
-
And I'm sure getting there will put us on page nine.
-
I'm quite sure of that.

Unless...

Started another Duvivier silent movie, Mother Hummingbird. Rather interesting picture of a beautiful woman romanced by a younger man. Their adultery is exposed, and all have to live with the consequences.

Not page nine.

And why is that? Because at 9:50 George deserted the jernt, that is way that is.
-
He went down some damn rabbit hole is what he did.

Just like that.

Like a wombat fleeing the ship.

Re-uploading episode four, then I do seven and Karen has started eight so by morning we're all done with the uploads.

George is nowhere to be found.

Perhaps he's eating pie in a rabbit hole.

Perhaps he's eating rabbit in a - oops, can't do that, I'll be cancelled.

Perhaps he's eating pie.
Sadly, I didn't have pie today. :P

Well, I have a feeling nine is just around the river bend.
I love that song (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x6kl9oW2NRU)!

Episode four is at the halfway mark so another thirty minutes for that. I don't want to stay up too late, but I guess if episode seven takes the usual hour that would be okay.

I love Christiane Noll's version

Been really raining here.
