All of the long johns I bought for the safari year before last were never used on the trip. But they are keeping me warm today.

Richard and I are back from returning the rental car that we were going to drive down south.  We then went to Kroger and bought some beautiful steaks and baking potatoes for dinner - it's vacation, after all...

Well, DR Laura, as our DS Rob said, "It's not a total loss."  We're looking forward to Savannah and St. Augustine.

Thanks, DR Jane!  When I made our plane reservations this morning, I was not given a seat selection opportunity and it appears that Richard and I may not be sitting together.  When I mentioned this to him, we agreed that maybe we're just lucky to have gotten seats at all...

I've been wondering the past couple of days if this mainland weather is affecting DR Jose's voyage back to NYC.

Ginny you might still get seats together at the airport or at least closer to each other.  Sometimes we opt to be across the isle from each other instead of me in the middle seat.

sorry about your trip Ginny...

the steaks sound really good!

I would not be surprised if the weather is hampering Jose's return to the states.

The Connecticut part of New Jersey?

Isn't that where they watch those French movies from France?

This is the cast of a play I wrote called CARDS & BEER - a one act play that was messed up by an idiot director.  Whew!  Except for these guys and one NOT in the picture - it was a painful experience.  ;D

Turns out as they play this card game, one man reveals he has killed his unfaithful wife.  Can you spot the murderer?  ;D

I say it was the third guy.

From the left or right?

Your right or my right?

Yes, almost certainly.

Favorite failure to communicate moment of the day (so far) department:  I'm trying to get info from a non-native English speaker (like Vixmom) about his BD audio releases.  He just PM'd me that he is "Igor to respond."  :)

Would that be read as "Ee-gor" or "Eye-gor"?

Back from the sound check.  Also had a message that NINE diners have cancelled this evening.  And this is what I HATE about LA and the flakes who live here.

I don't believe he mentioned what time today he is due back.  I hope the voyage has not been a rough one.

If I'm reading this correctly DR Jose is somewhere between Delaware & New Jersey.  The webcam is dark. http://www.cunard.com/Ships/Queen-Mary-2/Bridge-Web-Cam/

I read earlier that all the Cunard Queens are rendezvousing in New York Harbor tonight, so DR Jose shouldl be home this evening.

By queens, of course, I mean the Queen Mary, Queen Elizabeth and, um, the other one...
