Speaking of Roscoe Karns (and this will show you why I have splinters in the windmills of my mind)--I tried to track down Katherine Orrison, the lady who does the commentary on The Ten Commandments, to ask her where/how she got her information that Herb Alpert is one of the kids trying to get the mule "started" in the Exodus sequence. Herb is indeed in the film as an extra, but he was 20 or 21 when it was filmed, so unless he was a *really* good actor, I don't think he could have pulled off being 6 or 7, the age of the little boy in that sequence. Katherine does not have her own email, she has a "handler" who forwards everything, and his nom d'internet is Roscoe Karns. He told me he had forwarded my inquiry, but she never responded. B****.

IMDb indicates he was "drummer on Mt. Sinai" [uncredited] in "The 10 Commandments".
Now I'm imagining THE TEN COMMANDMENTS with a Herb Alpert score.
I'm off to a routine doctor's appointment ...
