TOD - hmmm Camp Foster comes to mind.  I loved that place.

There was a tree I used to climb in the woods behind out house.  I pretended I was invisible when I was up there.  No one ever came looking, so who knows maybe I was

The movie on my agenda for today is Lifetime's adaptation of Kim Edwards' book The Memory Keeper's Daughter.  My book group read it last year and we're all interested to see this version.

Having read the book I really don't feel like revisiting the story.  Please let me know what you think of the movie.

DR Ron, best wishes for mother.  Since you were going through such an ordeal yourself, this was one of those rare times when it was nice not to know.

Hmmm, we have been celebrating, all of this week, Angel's 15th Birthday.  Perhaps the crowd is waiting for her to make her Eva Peron-style appearance on the balcony this morning?

I hope I don't have any place that I need to go today; or, at least, any place I need to get to go in a hurry.  The traffice is backed up all the way from the park, past my house, and beyond.

If you enjoy swimming pools, have you seen pictures of the World's largest swimming pool, built on the coast of Chile at San Alfonso del Mar?

OK, DR Jane.  I just got off the phone with my mother and was going to recommend the movie to her.  But I realized that it's the kind of story that she wouldn't like, either.

Angel says thanks, Cillaliz, not only for the birthday greetings, but also for the suggestion of tuna in oil for her birthday dinner.

HAPPY 15TH BIRTHDAY TO DC ANGEL!!![/color]

Thanks, Jane, I credit you and Science Diet for giving her these last three years of health.  If you hadn't sent that dry food to me,  I would never have caught on to the fact that she was literally starving to death on that Iam's Cat Food.

bk, I checked, and The Sondheim Review's email distribution list is "protected," so there's no way to do an email blast about Primrose unless they instigate it themselves.

They did it in August '06 for an event at Ravinia, so there is precedent.  And a CD release that everyone can participate in is far more worthy of being announced, methinks.

I grew up in Florida, so of course there was Disney World.

But let me tell you about the most magical place of all.

It was the 7-11 near my house.

What, you ask, was so great about that?

Well, I'll tell you.

Every week came the arrival of fresh Archie comic books.

Archie, Laugh, PEP, Archie's Pals 'n' Gals, Jughead, Reggie and Me, Betty & Veronica, and on and on. Twenty cents each, and I'm here to tell you, I've never had a bigger thrill in my life than going there and checking out all the new titles, taking them home and losing myself in their carefree teenage adventures.

I shan't have an experience like that ever again.

But I can come close: Now that I'm in my 40s, I can go online and buy Archie comics on eBay cheap and totally relive my childhood.

Is that pathetic?

I also loved ARCHIE Comics when I was a kid.  Of course, they only cost a dime when I bought them.

Same here, DR TCB!  Weren't there super editions, too, that cost a quarter?

I also read Katie Keene comics.
