Thank you for the good thoughts DRs JohnG, of the delicious looking scones, and Laura.

Was that a delicious looking Laura?

Since my email was wiped from my laptop (but still available on my old desktop), I'm considering switching to gmail.  Thoughts?

Ginny, I've used only Gmail for email the last two years. It has pluses and minuses. No folders, minus. Independent of your ISP, plus. It's free. Why don't you open an account and give it a try? Their spam filter is often overzealous; you need to check the spam folder periodically, as nonspam gets in there, too.

It's not that I don't like pastries, but I am having difficulty thinking of any that I find extraordinary. Since they are not something I should be eating often, it's just as well, I guess.

DR Laura, hadn't thought about the Charles Phoenix tour...must look into that!

and I would most definately love a Kritzerland tour, if the tour guide has the time to do so!!

I'm surprised you're not booking a tour of all the old folks homes and actors retirement centers. I've also heard a rumor you're now dating on ancestry.com that I hope you will confirm or deny.

I believe they closed the actors home.

No, it is still there. There was talk of closing the hospital that was associated with the actors home, but that has not happened, yet.

I didn't realize the closing was the hospital and separate from the home.

Thanks, DRs Jeanne and Jane, for your comments about gmail.  I've had an account for a while, but haven't used it much.  Rob and Mary Linda use it pretty much exclusively and seem satisfied.  Rob has been helping me with some in's and out's this evening and we even figured out how I can use the umich.edu email address that my membership in the Michigan Alumni Association affords me - Go, Blue!

I really like gmail. And barely find any real mail in the spam folder. Plus I don't get that much spam.

You can create your own folders.

The main difference is that it stores all your correspondence with one person (under the same subject heading) in one giant email. But it is easy to see when you get a new response to the message.

Back from a lovelier than lovely luncheon with Adam Cates, picking up one tiny little package, and doing more shipping.  Everything is now done except for some multiple overseas orders.

DR cillaliz have you and your mom picked your favorites on DANCING WITH THE STARS?

I like Chelsea/Mark and Ralph/Karina. And my 3rd favorite is Kirstie/Maks.

Don't really care for Kendra. Or the wrestler with Cheryl. Sugar Ray is just okay.

I find all correspondence under one subject is stored together, no matter how many people email under the subject.  I must send more bulk emails than DR Jennifer does.

Keith receives his emails in Outlook and sees them one at a time.  Most the time I like the bulk messages under one subject, however, on occasion I have missed an email.  You can delete an individual email without all of the one under the subject & I do that to reduce the number of messages under one heading.

You can switch whether or not Gmail groups emails by "conversation" in your preferences.

I had no idea.  I'll think about it.  On one hand I like the way they are grouped together, except when I miss one or go looking for a specific person's comments and they all come up.

I'm off.  It's time for rehearsal.  We only have tonight and tomorrow without an audience, so, I'd better be able to get my one quick costume change done quickly enough so that when I'm supposed to be on stage again, I've actually changed my costume...it hasn't happened, yet. ::) Thursday is our final dress/$5 preview, then we open on Friday!

Have a good rest of the evening, all!
