This is not as healthy.

In more ways than one.     ;)

Well, at least that is not a former pretend girlfriend.  I don't think I ever had that kind of imagination...

It's the first photo of Ken I've seen in which he appears to be anatomically correct below the waist.

My YOUTH!

Do you still have your dashing good looks?

When I employ the "squint factor" while standing in front of a mirror.

And with the right lighting.

Well, then with that and a good faked j'en sais pas, what more do you need?

Speaking of retirement, I am going this afternoon to be fitted for my new bifocals.  It is only a short step further to social security and retirement!   :)

And, yes, DR elmore and I will be heading to the theatre tonight.  To The Booth for The Story of My Life.

*DR elmore - Have you set your VCR/DVR?  -God knows mine is getting a workout tonight.

Don't forget about Jerome Robbins on AMERICAN MASTERS.

I guess one needs to be all a-Twitter

And aghast, agog, agape, and akimbo!

Not necessarily in that order.

I understand that Paige O'Hara has turned out to be the McGlinn executrix and that everything has been left to the Library of Congress. That's what a trek to Toyland can do for you!

John's sister says the coroner's report says heart attack, and given his junk food habitds, I'm not surprised. I just had a long talk with her and now I'm off to Toyland.

I had a friend who's brother died suddenly, rather young too, of a heart attack.  The year before, or maybe more, he seemed to get depressed & pulled away from his family & friends & didn't treat them kindly.  Later it was suggested his behavior was related to the unknown heart problem.

Der Brucer:  I was visiting the archives courtesy of a search this morning and I re-read a post by S. Woody from 2005 or 2006 in which he reported he was going to be looking for wildflower seeds to sow on the lot next door.  He said the owner of the lot had cleared it and that you both desperately needed some color.

What has happened on, or to, that formerly razed lot?

This monstrosity happened:

It's never been fully occupied - it has had foreign summer workers bunking there for two seasons; it has been vacant and on the Market for $595,000 for over a year.

Okay, I'm gonna give you peeps a break from my idiocy for a while as I head out for my doctor's appointment and to run some errands.

I actually feel better today but doesn't it usually work out that way when you're heading for the doctor?

I also try to remove photos when I quote so they don't continue to be repeated. I know what you mean about repeating some of the photos over & over & over, etc. ;)

That is a mere cottage compared to the real monstrosities (two, count 'em, two) that went in on the farmland next to us.  Count yourselves "lucky."   ::)

His lawn looks like a golf course in the summer. I'm the rebel who won't plant non-native greenery. The homeowner's asociation wants my blackberry bushes cut down as "weeds". Meanwhile, the local wetlands folks don't want anyone to use use fertilizer. (The run off from our steep lots is right into the protected wet-lands.) The scrub you see at the bottom of the pic is where my summer garden goes.

That is a scary house, DR derBRUCER.....

Well I have purchased via an EBAY private seller a nice used Apple IMAC G4 with lots of memory and RAM and some programs I know I will use.  It was less than $200 with shipping, etc, and includes Keyboard, Mouse, Power Cord, and speakers, etc.

So I will be giving it a test drive when it arrives next week...and we shall see if I am ready to make the switch.

If I were S. Woody, I'd be throwing wildflower sides over that low fence every chance I got.

I'm up, I'm up.  the sun if finally shining and sky is once again blue - I am very stuffed up and the voice is pretty trashed, but I'll take it easy and hopefully I'll be able to get through this evening.
