I started reading "The Hunger Games" and stopped because... well, I won't spoil it for those of you who haven't read it.  I've had class discussions with my 5. 6 and 7 grade classes about it's content.  I'm amazed at their comments and over all take on the book.

Hi all.  I saw myself on the AC show today.  He just mentioned helping me and showed a photo of me with the check.

I'm hoping for good news about DD Sherlock.

Thank you.  We haven't heard anything today.

It took me 3 1/2 hours to get to work today.  A drive that usually takes 30 minutes or so.  There was an accident on the San Mateo Bridge, and traffic was backed up.  It was long, boring, and tiring.  Not something I ever wish to do again

That is painfully long.

I'm confused, do you not want to read it anymore?

At this point, no

Some very good news for fans (like me!) of THE CAROL BURNETT SHOW:

http://carolburnettfan.com/news/CB_Release--4-18-12.pdf

I guess they finally ironed out those nasty music rights. Looking forward to see some of those original mini musical.

It seems we won't see the path report until Monday.  Keith has been doing research on the blood work results & it isn't encouraging.  I called to see if the path report will distinguish if the cancer is a the aggressive kind or not and was told it won't.  We find this frustrating as this is a key piece of info in deciding if we will treat the cancer or not.

In other news, I am rocking out ;) to a fantastic Hugo Montenegro compilation appropriately titled Mr. Groovy.

Mr. Montenegro used to be a publicity client.

I had a nice phone conversation with actress Jane Merrow this afternoon.

We hadn't been in touch for over 30 years.

Yesterday, I wrote "The End" on the screenplay I was hired to write.

Now, I just have to write everything that comes before it.

Actually, I'll sit on this draft for a week, then read it, polish it, and send it off.

Much appreciated.  Our regular vet, who was out of town on Wed, just called.  We had a nice long talk with her.  Even though she thinks it is cancer she said don't completely give up hope.  She also went over the blood work with us and the things that scared us are better than we thought.

I talked to my sister-in-law (brother's wife)  and niece-in-law (sister's daughter-in-law)  tonight.  They have the same birthday.  One turned 25 and the other 60.

It was a long crazy busy week.  Lots of interruptions and not much getting completed.  So tomorrow I'm going to work ...with no one there and no phone ringing.  I can't wait to get some work done.

I watched THE LAST STATION and cried a little when Tolstoy died.  Between that and BEGINNERS, I've spent quite a bit of time with Christopher Plummer this week.

The rain they promised is here and, apparently, ushering in a cold front.  Richard called this afternoon from Wisconsin.  He had to be outside to get a signal and had to stop in the middle of our conversation to put on his gloves.  That's the weather that has now made its way to SW Ohio.
