Well, you've read the notes, the notes were Tuesdayesque, and now it is time for you to post until the Tuesday cows come home.

TOD: This one is easy - Toys starring Robin Williams, and Hitchcock's Under Capricorn. Neither is a great movie but I enjoy them. I recall Toys being really good until it went off the rails in the last half hour. I do like some of the really long shots in Under Capricorn.

Under Capricorn has a family connection which helps with the soft spot. I found out through my genealogy research that a second cousin once removed co-produced this movie and Rope with Hitchcock. He was going to co-produce I Confess as well but bailed out midway through.

Well, I'm not one of them. That film is so awful and the musical arrangements are ridiculous. The casat ands Cole Porter deserved so much better.

I had a terrible night. It seemed to last for years, not hours. The cats behaved; my body did not.

This morning, Jeremy emailed me all of the Annabelle & Thatch illustrations. They're so wonderful I wept.

TOD:

At Long Last Love
The Wiz
Finian's Rainbow
Hello, Dolly!
New York, New York

Each of these flopsicals is better as a soundtrack, which is how I first encountered all but Finian.BK was right about The Wiz. Michael Jackson is really terrible in it. But I still watch it about once a year. I love Ted Ross, Mabel King and Nipsey Russell
