Hi all!  Sorry I haven't been posting but I started work on Tuesday and I've been so tired by the time I get home that I didn't feel like doing anything.

Somehow, watching Hairspray (which we just did) makes me feel it's OK to just eat without guilt.

Danise, we seem to be on your mailing list twice.  It was great to get greetings from you twice, of course, once for Hanukkah, once for Christmas (and one card for me, one for Skip :) ), but wanted to let you know.

Still, it was fun getting two greetings from you, so maybe I should have kept me mouth shut about it.

Walking the dog, though, I don't mind.  Zach and I walk an average of 5 miles a day.

How nice. I miss doing that, probably the reason I need to loose 5 pounds.  How long does it take you?

Did some work at Ye Olde Piano, and am now listening to a great Pat Williams CD, to be followed by what I hope will be another great Pat Williams CD, neither of which I knew was in existence until I found them today at a used CD store for less than the price of a happy meal.

Is one of them "Threshhold"?  (The cigar cover).  One of my all-time faves.  I saw his big band in person when I was about 16 and it changed my life.

Poor Woody, he got a wake up call saying they had a call out and asking him to work 1:30 - 10PM.

Dinner will be breakfast - fast, easy, and still enjoyable!

I'm not a Stephen King person; I don't like things that are too scary. Would LARRY, or anyone else who has seen it, tell me a bit more? Gruesome? Depressing? Violent? I'm not sure it's for me.
Thanks!

Scary is the part that tells me not a good idea to go.  Oh, the movies I wish I had never seen with Keith ;D  Top of the list is WILLARD.

I think it's possible to enjoy Mr. Sondheim AND Mr. Herman.  They are completely different animals, but both have their strengths and, heresy though it may be, their weaknesses.

I love both Sondheim and Herman...and even Lloyd Webber, too. ;)

I guess with all the cold and snow you all are experiencing, this wouldn't be a good time to mention that my wildflowers are sprouting. Looks like it will be a good year.

LOL :)

Some Edu Lobo albums for BK (in no particular order):

Edu Lobo por Edu Lobo (with the Tamba Trio)
Edu & Tom/Tom & Edu (with Jobim, natch, each doing the other's songs)
Songbook Edu Lobo (2 CDs with versions by the cream of Brasilian artists, including an impeccably gorgeous reading of "Reza" by the vocal group Be Happy)
Cantiga de Longe
Edu Lobo (1967, featuring an impossibly young Gracinha Leporace--later Mrs. Sergio Mendes)

But really any Edu is good Edu.  You're going to love him, I promise.

I'm thinking it may be Hairspray this evening - either the film or some real hairspray.

Just for DR Tomovoz  [ ;D ]

THE MAMMA MIA MOVIE TRAILER

I can't wait to see this!  It looks like fun...even if it is a rehashed Buona Sera, Mrs. Campbell or Carmelina. ;)

DR Jose - Cheryl & Co. is an Ohio company and I'm glad you're enjoying their product.  I have done quite a bit of business with them and need to do some within the next day or so.  They have retail shops here in Ohio, including one that is perilously convenient between my home and work.
