Me, I'd leave 'em there and add a card reading "A Portent of the Future".

I think the moment the flower arrangement starts to smell is the moment it gets magically transferred to the roomie's room...with the door closed behind it.

Well, we - not the royal "we" - have already agreed to put them in her room if and when it comes to that.

Round and round she goes...but where the big package is, nobody knows...

Wasn't that the premise of this film?

It certainly explains the looks of intent curiosity on Ford and Pfeiffer's faces!

Surely Manhattan must have a Mongolian bakery, too?  :)

Now, if you'd like a recommendation for a Mongolian Grill or Mongolian Hot Pot place, well, that's a totally different story.

;D

Although, since Magnolia Bakery was long ensconced in NYC long before I was, I seriously doubt my presence in the store had anything to do with last night's sudden "crowd".

However, Levain may be a different story.  ;)

:)   Ahhh, the Pied (Cookied and Monkey Caked) Piper of Harlem -- he does draw a crowd (I know I became one of his bewitched and devoted followers as he danced down the streets of Manhattan with his bags and boxes of treats...) Ahhh, the memories...Long Live the Enabler!!  ;)

Hmm... That's interesting, DR SWW - I know there are some localities where bars are required to serve some sort of food in order to get fully licensed as a bar.  The local government wants people to have some sort of sustenance available to the imbibers to help them "control" their bodies' alcohol absorption.
Such as... The Entire State of Delaware!

There are apparently just three bars in the entire state that are not connected to restaurants.  The Double L here in Rehoboth Beach is one of them.  Those three bars have slipped through some grandfathering system, and pre-date the restaurant clause.

(I've included the link because the people at the Double L aren't nearly as imaginative prurient lubricious indecent as those at Faultline.  Also, I like promoting local places.)

Or perhaps a grill or two (or three)?

And speaking of Latin, there are also:

Carpe Diem:  seize the day

Carpe Nactum:  seize the night (from Jim Steinman and Michael Kunze's Tanz Der Vampire)

Carpe Scrotum:  well...you know. ;)
