I had a lovely luncheon with DR Kerry this rainy afternoon.

Our plan was to have friends over tomorrow night.  Unfortunately they are both sick, nothing serious.  Fortunately they cancelled just before we went to the market to purchase the ingredients to make dinner, and just after Sherlock had a bath.  Keith didn’t think he needed one & I used the company as an excuse to give Sherlock a bath.  Hey, when the dog sleeps snuggled in your arm at night it is much more enjoyable when said dog smells fresh and clean.

DR Kerry is doing just fine. He sent home some Oreo Cake that he has had in the freezer.

Back from a really obnoxious day.  Two awful problems - one cast-related (but all is okay) and one personal (who knows?).  Blechhh.  The run, when we finally did it, went well.

Is this a slow news day here at haineshisway.com?  That would just figure, today-wise.

We've decided to go to "Children of Men" with Clive Owen (always nice to look at ;)) and Julianne Moore.  I think it's gotten good reviews.  We'll see how it really is. :)

A dark but very well done movie, imho, and... I'm not into "science fiction" at all!

Perhaps I'll eat thirty pieces of See's candy right now, since my Marie Callendar's yucky tuscan chicken pasta cheesy bacon-crusted parmesian gooey cretinous dish wasn't too much to my liking.  Not bad (I did eat it all up), but not something I'd ever order again.

Thank you, DearReaderLaura!

I'm watching MONK.  Oy!
I wish someone would kill this show and put me out of my misery.

Mr Partice Leconte has adapted his mesmerizing (to me!) film CONFIDENCES TROP INTIMES to the stage and he's getting rave reviews!

The stage version uses two actors who are also known in films here!

Friday evening greetings!  For a 4-day work week, this one was pretty grueling and I'm so-o-o-o-o ready for my 3-day weekend.  Especially since this one has no commitments - stuff to do, yes, but I can do it on my own timetable.

DR Elmore - thanks for the Mozart info.  This afternoon I discovered

Reber Mozart Hearts

to order from Vermont Country Store.  Since I'm hosting the meeting when we'll discuss Mozart's Women on Feb. 15, I think they'll make a nice addition to my menu for refreshments.

Don't know if you all remember my client from last summer who was arrested with a moving van full of guns. Well he had his sentencing today. It went well. He went from being classified as a threat to society to a collector who had some firearms that were illegal.  He was thrilled with the outcome. Here's a preliminary newspaper story.
