Voldemort is basically a middle school girl: he has a locket, a diary, a tiara, a ring, and is completely obsessed with a teenage boy.

DR Ginny, the Plaza has officially opened its "Eloise Suite" renting at $995/night. You and Richard might want to book it.

Right, DR Elmore, we'll stay a week, for Lord's sake (as Eloise would say).

Back from a delightfully delightful lunch with the impish and still mischievous Mr. Billy Barnes, eighty-three years young.  We went to the Daily Gill, I grilled him, took notes (yes, an upcoming Kritzerland project has to do with Mr. Billy Barnes), and just had a really amusing time.

DR Jane I finished the Lisa Gardner book THE NEIGHBOR. I liked it very much and would recommend it. I reserved the follow-up book LIVE TO TELL. Well it also features the same detective DD Warren.

I just put in a request at the library.

RE: THE NEIGHBOR. It is the first book listed as a DD Warren (detective) novel. However I believe that she is a character in HIDE. So I may get that from my library.

Check out her website.  ALONE is the first one.  I've changed my request from Neighbor to Alone.

I don't think the books relate to each other. So you can read them out of order.

I'm pretty sure that DD Warren is in ALONE and HIDE.  But THE NEIGHBOR and LIVE TO TELL are shown as DD Warren series.  She is in the first two. But this cop Bobby Dodge (who is a friend of hers) is the lead guy in ALONE and HIDE. I'm curious how much she is in those first two books.

DR Jane it's odd that her website makes it seem like DD Warren and Bobby Dodge are equally in the first two books. Yet amazon makes it seem like the books are about him and she is featured in them.

All I know is when I open the DD Warren series it begins with Alone, so that is what I shall do.

All our windows have a thin protective covering over them in preparation for tomorrow.  The outside of the house needs to be stained.  We aren't making any changes in the color.  Hmm, I should confirm this with Keith.

It is strange that we can't see out.  Of course that means the workers can't see in and I won't feel like I'm in a fish bowl.

And, no, BK, it isn't you. It's a good friend in the City who needs to get his act together.

Aren't Tom Cruise and John Travolta members of Selenology

Why is Ellen Degeneres quitting?  Do we think there's more to the story than just not liking rejecting people?

Happy Birthday, Sherlock!

Speaking of dogs, my sister just called to say she and her husband adopted a 2 year old beagle mix named Sadie--can't wait to meet her when I visit in September!

Haven't a clue, however I'm not surprised.  From the beginning I thought she didn't enjoy doing the show.

TOD

Some Like It Hot

Jerry: Have I got things to tell you!
Shakes the maracas Humming the tango
Joe: What happened?
Jerry: I'm engaged.
Shakes the maracas Humming the tango
Joe: Congratulations. Who's the lucky girl?
Shakes the maracas Humming the tango
Jerry: I am!
Shakes the maracas Humming the tango
Joe: What?
Jerry: Osgood proposed to me. We're planning a June wedding.
Shakes the maracas Humming the tango
Joe: What are you talking? You can't marry Osgood!
Jerry: You think he's too old for me?
Joe: Jerry you can't be serious!
Jerry: Why not? He keeps on marrying girls all the time!
Joe: But you're not a girl, you're a guy! And why would a guy want to marry a guy?
Jerry:SECURITY!

The reason for the maraca/humming the tango is that people were laughing so much that they were laughing so hard they were missing the other lines. So Wilder reshot the scene with the interlude so that the audience would here the other lines.
