Anthony stayed up until after 1am! I don't know why.

You're going to just leave us like that for a whole long weekend-- with no solution to the mystery??!?!?!?!??!

Classic Moment with Gabe Department:  Betsy and Zach are in Wisconsin visiting her parents at their beautiful far, far north cabin (right by where Joan Rivers got heckled in that doc--no joke), so Gabe and I are "baching" it.  We went out the Cheesecake Factory last night, the first time I'd ever eaten there.  LOOOONNG wait--almost an hour, but food was great.

Anyhoo, on the way home, Gabe who is soon old enough to take Driver's Ed, was "informing" me of what car I needed to buy him and I told him it must be awfully pleasant in that Fantasyland he lived in.  :)  I informed him he would have to buy his own car, insurance and gas if he wanted a car.  Then he said:  "Well, I'll just spend 100 minutes with Geico and get free insurance."  And I said, "WTF are you talking about?"  And he said, "Think about it, Dad, if spending 15 minutes saves you 15%, spending 100 minutes saves you 100%, so insurance is free!"  I was laughing so hard I could barely drive.  :)

I had been dreading this morning as yesterday Qwest ended their relationship with MSN.  They had repeatedly stated all email addresses would still be valid, but considering my history with Qwest, I had my doubts.  But I still have email this morning.

I took a little time off from review projects last night to parse through the BD of THE PRESTIGE, a film I hadn't seen since it was first released.  What an elegantly structured piece that is, I think it may be my favorite Christopher Nolan film.

On a lark (what the lark did to deserve me being on it is anyone's guess), I pulled out an old Tears for Fears CD this morning (the one with Oleta Adams and Sowing the Seeds of Love) and am listening to it.  I very much enjoy this group.

Does anyone else have problems with the lack of proper grammar and pronunciation by the Judge in the Casey Anthony case?

I think I must review HONEYMOON IN VEGAS today, as it goes wide on Tuesday.  I am not looking forward to this task.

I have problems with the decline of grammar everywhere, especially coming from writers in the media. Whenever a character in a play, tv series, newscast, novel, etc. uses the improper nominative case when they should be using the objective, I cringe. It's horrifying. These idiots should be be forced to read good writers from before 1950, and not allowed to be called "writer" until they can prove they can tell a "me" from an "I" and a "lay" from a "lie."

Friday morning greetings!  How did it get to be July already?  I have to move our October trip to the front burner and get some more details planned ASAP.  I'd set it aside until my passport arrived and now it's languished for a couple of weeks while we dealt with the family stuff.

I am off to work.  Oh well.

Remember that we had a partial solar eclipse earlier today - and we will have a full moon this evening.....we also have five Fridays and five Saturdays in July making it a MONEY month for investment and found fortune.

Good luck!

I would like to find a found fortune.

DR  TCB,

I think that you may be missing something on Facebook....be sure that you are looking at "most recent posts" on your newsfeed. Otherwise you only get highlights of your newsfeed, making it look like your friends haven't posted anything at all recently.

Yesterday I listened to the most charming 1972 interview with Percy Faith, hosted by Wink Martindale, believe it or don't.  Percy was very forthcoming about how much the music business had changed by the early 1970's and how "MOR guys" (as he termed his genre) pretty much didn't have a chance anymore.

He mentioned that at that point he was signed with Columbia through 1978 but that he wasn't sure what was going to happen after that.  Percy died of cancer in 1976.

Perhaps BK knew or met his daughter, Marilyn Leonard, who was married to Tommy Dorsey vocalist Jack Leonard.  Marilyn died last year.

I am officially on vacation until Tuesday.   I had a couple things to do this morning and accomplished them by 11:37am.  At that point, I'm free!!!!  Well sort of, at least until I go see my family on Sunday

I don't get why the Casey Anthony trial is a big deal.  It's just a murder case.  They happen all the time across the United States.  What's so special about this

I hear judges use improper grammar all the time.
