I'm at my sister's house, waiting for her to get ready so that in an hour, we can meet the rest of the family at a local Chinese buffet restaurant for dinner to celebrate her boyfried boyfriend Larry's birthday.  We'll all come back to her place for dessert.  The problem is that she called me just this morning to tell me that this was happening!  I had plans for today...laundry and lots of TV watching to do.  AND his birthday isn't even until next weekend!  Why are we doing this now without any warning??

Oh, well.  It'll be fine. :D

Well, I was wrong...Larry's birthday is today. ::) HOWEVER, in my defense, my sister never told me that anything was happening today.  I had no clew.  It was fun, though.  We had a Chinese dinner buffet that wasn't bad, then we went to my sister's and played Scrabble (I came in fifth place...out of five).  My sister made a vegan chocolate lush and it was not good.  The nut crust wasn't bad, and the tofu-chocolate pudding substance was okay, but the vegan "cream cheese" stuff made with cashews, lemon juice and some other ingredients was quite icky, and everyone agreed that it was icky. :P There were some dessert choices at the Chinese buffet, so that made up for the icky vegan cashew "cream cheese" stuff.

I got nothing done today, but my dvd/vhs combo recorder has some kind of error code and won't work...and I have a ton of Wagon Train episodes I need to burn onto DVD. Dagnabit.

Evidently dvd/vhs combo recorders must be a rare breed now, new machines cost like $300 for the cheapest ones!

We did have some Kickstarter action today and we've gone up to 58%.  So, another 42% and we're home.  I sent out my final eBlast just now and hopefully those who've been waiting till the last minute will now kick in to Kickstarter.

DR TCB, I am so sorry to hear about your back. Have you been to a chiropractor? Or is this something that a chiropractor can't help?

My chiropractor hooked me up to all sorts of electronical machines, and after a few weeks my back felt good again.

TCB, I wish I could too.

Actually, I'm a horrible housekeeper.  I paint the garage, but I don't dust.  So, really cleaning the house is a real gift to myself.  I have decided once I get it really cleaned, I'm going to look into someone coming in once a month to clean.

Now you can have your own She of the Evil Eye! ;)

Yeah, they'll fire you like they'll fire me.

they can't fire me --- I'm a  volunteer!

If they wanted, volunteers can be fired.  You just have to REALLY screw up.

It was a two-show day.

Both shows went very well, but the audience for our evening show was quite wonderful. It was a wonderful way to end the week - a very long week.

After the show, there was an "Okla-Homo" event at one of the "special interest establishments" in town. I hadn't planned to go, but since some of the cast members wanted a ride to said "special interest establishment", well...

I had a blast!

Karaoke.

Drink tickets.

Lots of cast-musical staff bonding.

And I even ran into someone from my community theatre days - almost 25 years ago.

And then I went to my favorite 24-hour diner, Bob & Edith's, for some post-karaoke pancakes and scrapple. YUM! :)

Scanning by hand - isn't that what the monks used to do?

Sounds more like some sort of euphemism to me. ::)
