This is what I don't want to happen to me:

Hi, I am at Mark and James' apartment drinking martinis and showing  them HHW.

We just got back from BEWITCHED. I didn't care for it much. It had potential and had a wonderful cast, but somehow it just didn't work for me. Mark agreed with me, but James rather enjoyed it.

OK, time for another martini...James makes them rather strong!

I think we will be watching my dvd of AUNTIE MAME tonight...which I have not y
et seen.

I took a nice long drive - it's a bit hot, and it was nice to open the car windows and zip along.

During production of what?

Big Brother.  My cousin is a co-executive or supervising producer on the show.  I think he still is.  What season is this now?

I have to vacuum every week or my house becomes un bearable. It's an old house to start with, and then with the huge construction work going on next door, well, there is NO way not to vacuum and not live in a new version of the Dust Bowl.

AUNTIE MAME is a wonderful choice, but it's LONG. Hope those martinis don't make you zonked out. Drinking more than one cocktail usually makes my eyes very heavy, especially during a long film, even one as entertaining as AUNTIE MAME.

Hope you enjoy it DR Jane.  It really is surprising (to me) how it does keep grabbing the reader into the writer's world when it really is not plot driven.

Very much.  I want some personal insightful comments from you before my book discussion meets on Tuesday. :)

I had never seen an episode of BATTLESTAR GALACTICA; I had no idea Edward James Olmos is in this new incarnation of it. I found it rather inert.

I realize there was an entire season of episodes that I didn't see, and NBC attempted to do a patch on that in the first five minutes with a pretty good synopsis of what the key scenario of the series is.

Still, I didn't find it intriguing enough to continue into the the first season finale (two hours), and since I didn't plan to start watching the show when it picks back up on the Sci-Fi Channel this week, I flipped channels.

And I'm glad I did flip necasue CBS was showing a COLD CASE rerun that I had never seen, a very touching story that notches another outstanding episode for this wonderful series.

Didn't get SYLVIA SCARLETT watched off the DVR and have added THE ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND to the list. This movie get tremendous reviews last year and bagged an Oscar for the screenplay, but I hadn't gotten around to watching any DVDs of it, so this will be my first exposure to it. That is, when I can find the time to watch it.

Matt H, we watched the first few episodes of BATTLESTAR GALACTICA and stopped.  I really like Mary McDonnell in the show. Unfortunately Starbuck's character & the scripts didn't do it for us.

I have a very busy day tomorrow. Besides my usual chores (grocery shopping and laundry), I am picking my friends up at the airport when they return from England, and then tomorrow night will be attending the national tour of HAIRSPRAY.

I think she's a wonderful actress, too good for at least the one show I saw tonight. Nope, I didn't like Starbuck either, but I just found it rather leaden. Didn't get my juices flowing at all, and if you can't get hopped up by outer space duels and lots of intrigue, then something is amiss somewhere.

Well it was a little bit windy here and cloudy but that was about it. I went to the theater tonight and enjoyed the play. I also gave them a copy of my play for "consideration" we will see. So far I have had two turn downs. But that's show biz!

I realized that the German cover for Michelle's cd did appear . SO here it is.

I thought that there might have been an alternate Ultimate Titanic cover, but I couldn't find one.

I read that the Fred Karlin cd was a release of an older album. But I didn't go looking for it.

A very busy day today, beginning about 6 am, shoveling dirt. The evening was busy, as I received the info for tommorrow from the music director at noon. And we have a mind-numbing hours-long bored meeting tomorrow afternoon.

Jazz Goes to Hollywood was the original title and that was the original cover for the CD.  When it tanked, and when we did volume two, we changed the name to Co

Cool and Classic, which I absolutely abhorred.  It didn't sell any better under that inane title.  I like the "Variety" cover  -  read the articles - I wrote them all.

Opening to Into the Woods
Everybody Ought to Have a Maid
A Weekend in the Country
A Little Priest
Getting Married Today
The Miller’s Son
Now/Soon/Later (or whatever it is called)
Not While I’m Around

Ben and Elmore must be passed out. We had some margueritas, many different flavors. Us three and Ol' TPunk. Lots o' laughs. And lots o' laffs too. Tom Cruise's ears must be burning. And some decent Mexican food at La Cocina, though they had some trouble getting Elmore's order right. The catch was they first thought it was my order they got wrong and took away my food only to say it was fine and that it was Elmore's that was amiss. Only took a minute to get the situation under control. The Gal was not super-happy with her meal I have since found out. We went to the Cream Puff shop afterwards but it had closed.

And that's the story of tonight's wee-mini HHW Gathering (East Coast Style).
