I had a stupid day too. I had a conversation with the neighbor that started out about the birds that come to our birdbaths and ended with him shouting "I thought you were a Christian!"

:o How rude!

I need more mayo but all I can find are the very large jars.  Keith uses light so I only need the smaller size.  I hate those squeeze bottles.

This was a small squeeze bottle.  I think it was 12 ounces, so it wasn't a lot, but still, it was olive oil mayo, and I liked it. :-\

If I don't find more mayo before I run out, which will be fairly soon, I will have to buy a huge jar and trash most of it.

Jane, have you ever thought about making your own?  I've actually done that (years ago), but that way you can make only as much as you need.  Just a thought. :)

Sadly, after 194 years the Old Apple Tree has died :(

Oh, no!  How long ago did it die?

It was reported two days ago.  I think they have been trying to save it for a good while now.

Darn. :-\

This evening, I watched STRANGER ON THE THIRD FLOOR with Peter Lorre.

He had top billing, but I don't think he was in the 64 minute movie for 10 of those minutes.

Apparently, he owed RKO Pictures 2 days work, and this is how he took of care of that debt.

The movie was an okay way to pass the time, but nothing special.

Kirk Douglas directed and stars in Posse. He should have left it at acting. Larry Cohen seems to have taken a pass at the screenplay. Bruce Dern is his usual bad guy self. Did he ever play anything but bad guys in westerns?

Second movie today that doesn't get started until 20 minutes or so before the ending.

Just received word that a coworker on the larger content team, who has been battling cancer for months, has been hospitalized for a few days. Not a great time to be in a Texas hospital, for sure, especially in Houston.

Right now we have Strauss, as in Richard, Burlesk for piano and orchestra, a piece new to me.  I like it.  And next up is the Rachmaninov third piano concerto, which I love, and which was also in the Munch box set - I assume they're the same transfer.  Janis was a key Rachmaniov performer, mostly for Mercury, not RCA - I think RCA only got the first and third.

I did that years ago.   I am too lazy now.  I think the Veganese mayo is delicious but it also comes in too large of a container.

Sorry to hear about Johnny.  I was and will always be a huge fan.  I at least got to issue two Mandel scores.  What a treasure.  I'll play his brilliant score for Agatha, still unreleased on CD.
