We haven’t had a party in years. Over the years we threw a number of large ones for Keith’s co-workers. The largest of those was 75 people.
The evening before the party Craig had a T-ball game and the morning of the party both boys had a karate competition, obviously leaving me very little time to cook. I hired two teenage girls in the neighborhood to make a watermelon fruit basket & set up for the party. Later the girls walked around serving my appetizers which included cheese & bean dip & olive cheese balls along with other goodies guests brought. I made cheese enchiladas and the rest of the meal was supplemented by the guests. I can’t remember the dessert. Oh, I purchased corn bread (best corn bread ever-wish I had the recipe) & broccoli soup from the historic The Spread Eagle Inn-yes that was the name.
Two days later, after I finally finished cleaning & putting the house together, Keith suggested we go for a short walk. Exhausted as I was off we went and found our Belle, the dog we had before Echo.
