I've been off and on OLTL for years now. I'm currently off it (but keeping up via TV GUIDE's daily synopsis of the episode). Unlike DR DakotaCelt, however, I find Starr Manning highly resistible.

I am VERY unhappy with the turn of events for Kelly and Kevin.

If Judy Garland were to come along today, at age 16 or 17, and audition for "American Idol", does anybody think she'd make it to the final 12?  If not, why not?  If so, why?

In today's world, she might not make it because - in those kind of shows -- they msotly seem to care about LOOKS more than talents!
Even though, recently here, a winner was a short fat young lady whose first cd is... not selling at all! So.....

I am currently listening to the soundtrack (courtesy of www.raaga.com) of the Bollywood new Lesbian film MEN NOT ALLOWED.

Then, I guess it's the woman in you that is listening! ;)

There are over 600 ALW songs in a playlist (of course there are really only 5 :P )
and the iPod insists on shuffling in tracks for "Whistle Down the Wind" my least favorite ALW attempt.  What's up with THAT?

School is officially over.  What a year it was.  Now, more time to keep up here on HHW.  Next year I'll be officially at one place of employment instead of 2, I'm very excited by that.  I don't believe I ever had a full time job before.  ALways several part-time that combined made full time.  It's all, too too exciting.

What is find irritating STephen Nichols is off the show for 16 years and the promptly list his name but they have not even listed Matt's yet. GRRR!!

I just find that incredibly stupid....

It's most likely a contractual thing.

In the first season of "Buffy, the Vampire Slayer", David Boreanaz did not get opening credits recognition...rather, he was listed along with the guest stars of each episode.

It's because his being hired came after all the "star-credits-before-the-show-really-starts" negotiations had been made.  For Season 2, he was quite prominent.

I've recently acquired the Cary Grant Box Collection.

I'm disappointed.

Not in the DVDs.

But in the packaging.

These are all individual movie titles, but they are not in individual keep cases.  The entire box is a foldout and the five movies in the set are all meant to be kept in the foldout sections.

This is most annoying.  The Cary Grant Signature Collection is full of individual DVDs that lend themselves to filing alphabetically.

Now...I have to pull out the box to see one of the five titles therein.

I think it's a fine way to present a single season of a TV show...but a crap way to present five films by someone the stature of Grant.

It sux, I tells ya....it sux!

You must be using my ipod (not that I have or even want one) DR Matthew. "Whistle" would provide some of the few ALW with which I would bother. Guess we've been down this tyre tracks and broken hearts road before.  Have a great holiday (aka Vacation I think!)

Back from a longer day than I'd expected.  Kevin did very well at SoapNet or Soap Talk or whatever the HELL it's called (he sang, too - If Ever I Would Leave You), and it was nice to see our pianist John Boswell again.  What do Days fans think of the young gal who plays Belle?

Kev and I had lunch at Marie Callendar's, and then I dropped him at the Burbank airport, and now I am home - got the four new Betty Grable movies, too, and the new SE of The Omen.

I don't like Belle's charactor.  I'm not even sure she's a great actress.  I'm getting sick of the Belle/Phillip/Mimi/Shaun storyline so this may be jading my opinion.

What do Days fans think of the young gal who plays Belle?

It is a mixed bag... she is okay but I dont think she is that strong of an actress.  Some people like her on the different boards and some dont. She is the third actress to play her in three years. Kirsten Storms {now Maxie on GH} was the first one to play Belle as a teen. She left in 03 and some soft core porn star named Charity Rahmer played her then Martha Madison took over.

I do not really watch her scenes so I can judge for I have not seen a complete episode of Days in three years since JER started writing. She is not bad but the writing does not help her at all. DR Elmoore knows how bad the writer is Passions and soon to be former Headwriter for Days.

I preferred watching the days Matt and Missy were on. I did not care for the writing and I could not watch.

Matthew, the writing stinks....

I prefer the first the Philip played by Jay Kenneth Johnson. He had some talent... Kyle Brandt creeps me out... I hate that story line.... I tend to fast forward it...

IMHO, the character of Belle is a bratty, whiney spoiled princess.

I do have to say, Reilly's writing talents do not help matters either... I cant wait until July... He will be gone!

The other annoying characters on Days that could to soapland's dusty bins include Carrie, Austin, Mimi {someone get that actress acting lessons}....

On OLTL .... Please send Antonio and Margaret away...

Ron, according to IMDB the first

Tara was played by Karen Lynn Gorney ....  Tara Martin Tyler Brent Jefferson #1 (1970-1974, 1976-1977, 1995) (original cast)

Philip was played by  Richard Hatch http://us.imdb.com/name/nm0368745/

Jordan Charney played the role temporarily in 1976

Philip, Jr. was played by Ian Washam from 1970 to 1976

Just noticed that Elizabeth Taylor was on AMC also...

Weird weather today. 100 degrees here, but not to far to the east, west and north it's only in the 60s. My guess is someone's going to get a heck of a storm tonight

I had a funny thing happen tonight. I was in Shopko and had a box of pink hair dye in my hand (still not sure I've got the guts to do it, but I was looking) when who should come up and pat me on the back but the judge I appear before  most often. He said he hoped everything was going well for me and I said "I think I'll dye my hair pink, what do you think? Pink or fushia?"    LOL, he had the funniest look on his face, I said everything was going well and thanks for asking. But with my "worst haircut ever" My old funky black glasses, while my newer ones get new lenses, and pink hair dye in my hand, I would love to hear what he tells the people at the court house.

I watched Tristan and Isolde last night..

Possible Spoiler

I saw an advertisement somewhere that said "Before Romeo & Juliet there was Tristan & Isolde..."

Seemed more like Arthur & Guenivere & Lancelot to me.....
