I'm about ready to head out for the play. I think I will walk down 9yj Avenue until I reach the theatre at St Clements at 46th Street or become tired.

I had a tasty dinner of steamed veggies and chicken with brown rice and a little brown sauce from my fave Chinese place.  I'll take with me a half an apple and some almonds and walnuts, in case I need a bit of refreshment around 9:00.

The exciting news is that tomorrow morning we're meeting DR edisaurus at a coffee shop on 14th Street. I doubt I'll walk there.

You cannot see "personal" info other than e-mail addresses, and you can only see those if someone hasn't done that preference.  There is no other personal information, as far as I know.  Also, about 20,000 user accounts have been deleted.

Our gender, age & location are shown along with un-hidden email addresses.  I know that isn't much but I didn't think you could view these before without registering.

Great news regarding all the deleted accounts.

I had not figured it out, if it's any consolation.

We're going to try to isolate the guests being able to browse - Mark isn't sure it's possible with the new software - but I've asked the other guy to look into it later.  You should be able to read the board now without signing in - I asked for someone to try it, please, and let me know right away.

As bk indicated, I can read the board again without logging in.

However, as DR Jane posted, I can also read profiles without logging in [email address is hidden, if so checked, but you can see the avatar, the gender, age, location, etc.]  Previously, I believe, you could not view a profile at all unless logged in as a registered member.  Personally, I think that in this case, the old way is better.

Dakota Celt wrote on my Facebook wall - she said she hoped the board would be fixed someday.  I suggested that she might try reading THE NOTES for a change.

What is "add to the buddy list"  I tried it and the only difference I saw was "remove from the buddy list"  ;D

DR Jane, I think it's just an easy way to assemble a list of DRs you might want to PM.  Just a convenience, really, to keep from having to respond to an old message or re-look them up when addressing a PM.

I think that last post of mine was a bit misleading - I love Young Frankenstein and the original The Producers and Silent Movie , High Anxiety amongst other Mel Brooks work but when he himself is the actor there is so much scenery chewing I have to look away

I have   had   have a poster  from the original TO BE OR NOT TO BE.  I rescued it from the half-sunken basement of an old deserted theater in Ellensburg, WA (Ann and Jed's hometown) back in the 60s.  The poster proclaims it as Carole Lombard's last film, so it may have been from a second release.

I may just keep this name. I used the other name because we had another Laura at the time.

Today is a work day.  Oh well.

TOD:

DVD - Perry Mason extras including interviews and screen tests, interesting.
CD - State Fair original soundtracks, still fun to listen to
VHS - The Leather Boys with Colin Campbell, Rita Tushingham, and Dudley Sutton

THE LEATHER BOYS is the first film that I remember Time Magazine referring to as "having homosexual undertones."

I hope I shall recover in time for tomorrow morning's gathering with DR Edisaurus.

Right now, any time I get vertical, my nose runs like a faucet.

"having homosexual undertones."

Now, if you had written underpants, I could really relate!

I had a BLT-A for lunch - very nice sandwich, no mayo.  And a side salad with French dressing - I was told that their French dressing was non-fat - it was very good.

DR Laura (I kind of liked the DearReader in front of your name) if you change the current Laura name to DR Laura, then you can change your DearReader Laura name to simply Laura again.  Then you maintain your "Hero" stasis ;)

DR Ben, as I washed out my oatmeal bowl this morning I thought of you.

Is that romantic?

On TV Tonight:

And for us Sc-Fi-iacs there is the 2hr Pilot of the new series SANCTUARY!

The preview of this, with Amanda Tapping affecting a bad English accent, has put me right off watching.

Last night my Pops Choir surprised me with a big brownie cake and cookies for my upcoming celebration of not being quite dead yet on Monday.  It was very nice as DS Betsy is in Reno and thus will not be able to provide me with the standard chocolate cake that many of you have sampled whilst at our semi-lovely home, at least on my natal day.

JMK, what has become of JulieC40 and her her sister PDXJane?  One trip to New York and they left us?
