And now, I must leave my house. :o

Actually, my mom just called and said that snow is melting, which is good.  I said that I'd get her some birdseed, so I'll need to do that.

Driving vibes for me! ;)

OK, Christmas shortbread cut-outs are cooling, ready to be iced and decorated tonight.  I'm about to go grocery shopping for almost everything we'll need through Christmas Day.

Bye for now!

Yikes....I was remiss in congratulating DR FJL on his 13000 post accomplishment.

DR JMK - I am waiting for a DVD release of Bronston's John Wayne epic - CIRCUS WORLD....my video is getting awfully old!

Hi everyone.  Today is literally the first day since mid-October that I can log in and say hi and attempt to keep up.

I see the board has a new look, very cool

We are enjoying our house.  We recently had our annual Christmas Cocktail party, which was well attended.  I had a good time decorating inside and out and was sure that we had a red front door, a roaring fire and a Christmas tree.

Everything else is going fine.  Shows have come and go, more are in the future including back to back The King and I's - one at the podium and one at the keyboard (for rehearsals and then I'm DONE!)

I'll do my best to keep up now, I hope everyone has been well :)

I guess Mr Esparza expressed himself at the curtain call of Speed the Plow yesterday:

"I’m sure you’ve read the headlines about the silliness in our show. Today was the first time I really enjoyed playing this show. I hope you weren’t expecting a big TV star.”

I agree with your disgust SWW. I don't understand why some people think the season is for them and them only. What is the harm in wishing "everyone" a happy holiday....which includes all and everyone. Some people like to take the "Merry" out of everything.

And like you are supposed to know which holiday they celebrate.

And I know some people consider it recent "P.C.", but I hear "happy holidays" in a lot of the old movies and TV shows.

>>I'm sorry, but Mr. Bush is going to go down as the worst President in the history of this country - and that's saying something.

Let us not forget that it was Barney Franks and the Democrats who demanded this bailout, not to mention the failed stimulus plan of a few months ago, happen, and that Bush simply caved in to their pressure.

Let's not forget that Obama has the guy responsible for the Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae debacles as a financial advisor! (And that 2  years ago Bush tried to get more oversight for those 2 companies and it was the Democrats who blocked that attempt, with Barney Franks himself saying both entities were working just fine.

Wonder what woudl happen if the American taxpayers, in aggregate, got together and refused to pay their taxes on April 15. If the entire population said, "Go ask the banks and get *our*  money from them," they couldn't all be arrested!

The thing we agree on is your final paragraph - that is what should happen.

Well, I missed the last few minutes of THE ROAD TO RUIN (1934) as my DVR did not pick all of it up...however, I am pretty sure that Helen, who went from sweet innocent high school girl to hanging out with boys, then drinking, then smoking, then using Maryjane, then having elicit sex, getting pregnant and having an abortion, and finally running a very high fever...well, I suspect that Helen did not make it to the final credits.

If only the parents had paid heed to the counselors wish for sex education for the students.

I did end up taking a chance and doing the long jog - I lucked out - even though it was completely gray out it didn't rain, although it looks like it's starting to drizzle now.  So, that's out of the way, and now I shall shower and then go try to get my front license plate attached.

If the DVD player were on fire, the movie wouldn't be hot

If she had been introduced to some nice lesbians, she'd have never hung out with those nasty boys, and the rest would have been neatly avoided as well!

Probably so, DR SWW.

Boy oh boy - the makeup and hair people at General Hospital sure have a different idea than I do about what looks good on the performers.

You are right DR JRand, that movie was not so hot...I will burn it to DVDr in the event that I someday locate Ron Foster for an interview (he is listed with SAG, but has not contact listing...meaning he has no agent and they won't give me his phone number).

DR Druxy or BK, do you have any pull at SAG!!!

So now I am watching INTERLUDE, a soapy melodrama from Universal-International, and wishing I was June Allyson...she is dating both Rosanno Brazzi and Keith Andes...youza! Lots of nice faces in this movie.

I tend to forget how sexy Rossano Brazzi was, until I see him on screen.

I think Dr Beverly Hills 90210 had the MOST pull at SAG.

DRMBARNUM thanks for the lovely card with artwork by Claudia Barrett (maybe DR DRUXY can let everyone know who she is) and the movie!

Where did you find INTERLUDE?  Frances Bergen is also in that movie....showing us exactly where Candace got her pretty face.
